We actually liked the receptionist that checked us in, but from there it was downhill. The person at the front desk didn't know anything about the surrounding area. Where to park, where to go grocery shopping (which we needed to because they could not provide ANY food early in the evening, not even a bun!), where the old town was located - I even had to point out on a map where the hotel was situated - she couldn't find it.

The property is ok. It's old and needs renovation, but everything in our upgraded room was working and was clean. However, I'm sure my 1100-1200 DKK could have been used on a better hotel... The location is ok - but not great...

On the good side - they had a nice playroom for the kids*, and a free coffee and snack buffet in the evening.

* The kids got a paper listing all the nice things they could get at the front desk, but the only thing on the list available was a lollypop... Don't promise things you can't deliver - especially to the kids - they seem to be a hard crowd to please once you've let them down once...

We spent one night in Odense and found this hotel to suit our needs very well. Odense is very central on the island of Fyn and we were wanting to see Egeskov castle (30 minutes away), the coast near Aero, and a few sights in Odense and were able to do all of this in a day and a half using this hotel as a base. The hotel is older but well maintained, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom were large (a pleasant surprise). There was not much of a view, but the central shopping and restaurant area of Odense were only a five to ten minute walk, as was the HC Anderson museum. The included breakfast was the best we had on our week-long trip in Scandinavia.

We travelled to Odense to support Motherwell football club. The hotel is in the outskirts of the city but it's only 10-15 mins walk to the centre of Odense which is a lovely town with friendly people. The rooms are pretty basic but had everything we needed and were very clean.

Stayed in this hotel for one night on a trip to watch a Eupopa League Football match. I was on an all-inclusive trip so am unsure as to the cost of the hotel but overall I was more than satisfied by the standard of the hotel.

Hotel was clean , staff were friendly and there was free wifi, coffee and snacks available all day. Rooms were clean as was the en-suite bathroom. Location was close to station and city centre. If I were ever back in Odense I would definitely stay here
