Stayed here overnight on the way to Skopelos. The Hotel was in a good position for the ferry and it was clean and comfortable with air conditioning, although not plush the price of the room was very reasonable (43 euros) and great value for money. The staff were very helpful and I liked the idea of the fridge in the room (buy your own drinks from supermarket).

I stayed in the city of Volos for about 3 days. I chose the hotel after searching the internet and visiting its website from where I made the booking. Philippos Hotel is rated as a two-star hotel so I was not expecting much but the price was perfect for me. I had seen the pictures of the nice clean rooms in the website.... but who does ever believe them anyway? Well my stay was nothing close to what I expected. The hotel rooms were indeed sweet and clean, nicely coloured and simply decorated. From the reception to my room (single) the hotel had a nice atmosphere that was calling you to relax. The best thing however where the nice people working there. The stuff was always helpful and kind whenever I needed instructions or any information and made my stay "feel like home".
Certainly I was not expecting that kind of quality service from a two-star hotel and my money worth every cent.
Hope I visit Volos again soon.
