The staff were very friendly & helpful and everywhere was spotlessy clean. The location was great for a short stroll into the town for the evening which was fortunate as there was no atmosphere in the hotel itself. The pool bar was not opened and while drinks were available from the indoor bar it was not staffed and appeared to be closed.
The pool was smaller than it appeared in the pictures and was in shade for much of the day.
The breakfast was adequate for a two star hotel but the orange "juice" tasted like squash & the coffee was also weak. It would have helped if the rooms had the facilties for making drinks.
Skopelos itself is a lovely island and avoids much of the 'tackiness' found in some other greek resorts.It is well worth a visit and I would love to go again but I would not stay at hotel Aeolus again.

A very clean and attractive hotel. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile. Four of us stayed on a B&B basis. The food was typically Greek, simple but fresh and of good quality. There was plenty of choice and plenty of it! The pool area was clean and always had space for all who wished to be there. Most of the rooms have a sea view and the few which don't look into a beautiful courtyard, a lovely spot for your third cup of coffee at breakfast. The chambermaid service was excellent and all the cleaning staff were hard working and thorough. The hotel is close to the town and port as well as being in a quiet area. There is no children's club so only a few, well behaved sprogs...hooray! I think that if they did evening meals, they would be good.

Just returned from two fantastic weeks in Skopelos (august - Sept 2011) staying at the Aeolos Hotel.
The hotel has a great location a short five to ten minute walk to town centre. Most rooms have stunning views of Skopelos town. The hotel also has some rooms in a court yard at the rear , to be honest I would be upset staying in those rooms .
The hotel is well maintained, all areas and rooms decorated to a high standard.Breakfast is served from 8 till 11 and is always well stocked with plenty on offer. My only criticism of this lovely hotel is the pool is very small (it looks much bigger on the pictures).
I will return to the beautiful island of Skopelos on day and I will be staying in the Aeolos

Went last year and returned for 14 days on august 26th.excellent hotel,very clean,staff friendly and helpful.short walk to town.hopefully go in 2012.finikas taverna and muses taverna close by,both excellent,also alexanders in town.MUST VISIT--- Cocktail bar on cliff to right of hotel.great cocktails with a view to die for!
