We first visited Ioannis Apartments in 2009, & have since returned twice. An absolutely fantastic place to stay. The family treat you as their guests rather than customers with warm, friendly & attentive service.
It consists of 2 apartment blocks, with 16 studios in total. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with bed linen & towels changed regularly. It is located across the road from a picturesque quiet beach, with many of the island's 60+ beautiful beaches all nearby.
There are also a number of supermarkets & tavernas nearby. That said, Ioannis have their own fantastic taverna called Green Park. It is no exaggeration when I say that it is the best place to eat on the island (3 holidays I think qualifies me to judge that!) When you are in Skiathos, if you ask anyone where the best place to eat is, I guarantee the reply will include Green Park!
The idyllic Skiathos Town is a 1.60 euro 20 minute bus ride away. Buses run every 15 mins in high season, with bus stops just down the road either side of Ioannis.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place & am looking forward to returning next year.

Stayed at Green Park, Ioannis Apartment in Agia Paraskivi, Skiathos for a week at the end of August. Explored many different properties and this is what it has going for it: Centrall located halfway between the town and the best beaches on the western side, small walk to the beach and bus stop and 3 small grocery stores, a great taverna right out your front door, wonderful family who run the place, and above all----peace and quiet!! About 70% of the properties in Skiathos are right on the main road, so you would hear cars and busses going by all the time. NOT HERE!! Only problems was the beds were hard as a rock, and the pillows were also. Hopefully they will see this review and make this small fix. They book directly through the owner's email at: alextzoumas@yahoo.gr. Wireless is available at Jimmy's taverna at the beginning of the lane (3 minute walk). Go for it.

Me and my wife stayed here for the second time in 3 years and had a great holiday. The location is great, right in the middle of the South coast with easy access to all areas. The studios are really clean and tidy, very smart, and just the right size, and have air con and a safe, they are also very quite at night being 200m back from the road. All have a balcony or patio.

The setting is lovely with very well kept gardens, lovely restaurant (Green Park) serving great food (try the Soutzakakia, its beautiful), a lovely little bar and a very nice pool area with very comfortable loungers. The seating area outside is also very smart.

The family are fantastic, Theo, Alex and Niko make you feel so welcome and are great fun to be around. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Ioannis and MAria are fantastic chefs.

The whole Island has a very relaxing feel to it which is mirrored at Ioannis/Green Park. I would highly recommend staying here, we will definetely go back. Of all the places we have been in Greece this is the place we have enjoyed the most.

A lovely holiday in lovely surroundings.

We stayed in early May 2009, myself, my husband and 4 year old son. Our room was upstairs and next to the bar. We used to get back home around 9 - 9.30 each evening and once our little boy had gone to sleep, sit on the balcony having a drink.
The music was quite loud so we almost felt as if we were in the bar, also having the security of not leaving our son alone.
A few people have commented on how loud the music was, but when we did go to bed, the music was still loud, but to be honest, my view is if you're tired you'll go to sleep whatever the noise, and it never woke our son.
The owners seemed pleasant enough we never had any complaints, lunch was very slow one day but that's just the way things are in Greece.
We ate at Jimmy's at the top of the drive to Ioannis a lot as the 2 chaps there were fantistic with kids, their ice-creams were amazing!
The room was quite cramped (3 single beds all pushed together), would definitely prefer to pay more for a one bed apartment, although you're only sleeping there so it's not that much of a problem.
Swimming pool was very cold but it had only just been filled and was early season, we spent most days at the beach anyway which was lovely and about 5-10 minutes walk (15-20 with slow walking children!).
Definitely go back again.
