Went to the 9Muses in August, and in many ways you can't fault it as all previous reviews have said. But there are 1 or 2 things that could be better.
Service - excellent, the staff are genuinely friendly and very effiicient. When we arrived, the cases were all sent to our rooms. Safety box keys were there, and although not included, you took them back if you didn't want one. Charge of 11euros per week, 22euros for 11 days.
Pools - spot less, and the garden areas are well maintained and lovely.
Rooms - adequately furnished, ample hot water, power shower, nice balcony to most rooms, although my advice would be to go for high floors. Air con is very effective, especially in hot season.
Breakfast - nice and fresh, good fruit, yogurt and cereal. Could have done with some choice of eggs, therer ar only hard boiled (and I mean hard) but was all ok. Very clean.
Scala - quiet, but more than enough restaurants to choose from. We stayed 11 days and ate in a different one every night.

So what was on the downside? Not a lot, just a couple of small things. No enflatables in the pool and no ball games. I can understand not wanting boystrouse children in the pool, but this place is quiet and layed back, so a little relaxation of the rule would be good. There's a kids pool, but this hotel is predominantly for mature adults, so if you want to peacefully float on a lilo, you can't do it here, which is a shame. Also no pool table of any table tennis, so very little for young children to do.

Prices are also getting quite expensive, Greece is no longer the reasonable priced holiday it used to be, everything has caught up. Drinks and food match UK in terms of price.

But at the end of the day, a great relaxed time

What a wonderful greek island. The muses hotel knocks spots off all the others. Flowers climbing up outside, ace pool, greek dancing at night and impeccable location. Great beaches all the way around this small island. Some are of the cooking flesh variety and others empty and abandoned. Try hidden beach if that's your thing. (well sign posted) Adored the clothes optional Big Banana and totally nudist Small Banana. Go there if you are open minded but don't take offense. Funnily enough kids are much less likely to be shocked by it than some adults. Notably the adults who wander around tutting aggressively whilst filming everything that moves. The boat around the island is good but in the opinin of my husband and I trips to tsougria and skopelos are a waste of time. Apart from the rubbish Tsougria is uninhabited - I wonder why? And you arrive at Skopelos just as all the shops close for the afternoon before leaving just before the reopen. Note how as the boat pulls back in they suddenly give everyone a free ouzo and make all the sailors dance around to trick anybody watching into thinking we had a good time. You have been warned. Great tavernas everywhere. Skiathos town is smelly in places and quite a way from any decent beaches. Have a good one and take plenty of suncream if you are feeling adventurous.
