We can not recommend this beautiful hotel enough. The Poseidonion was a fantastic setting for our daughter's baptism and we had reserved about 12 different rooms for the event. We as well as all of our guests were impressed by the beauty of the hotel, the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the services. The food was among the best we ever had at a hotel. We have stayed at many Luxury Collection hotels (including the awful new Romanos at Costa Navarino) and the restaurant (which was run by an Athenian outfit named Aneton) was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised by the Poseidonion and can not say enough good things about the people there. Thank you!

We went to the Poseidonion Grace at Spetses island for a long weekend and were overwhelmed by its charm and beauty. The Hotel has a long history and was recently restored to its former elegence. This is a must visit Hotel in a lovely peaceful and restfull island. We were most impressed by the friendly and helpful staff and the food served in their two restaurants was outstanding. The location is great and all you have to do is step out and all activites are in front of you. The Island has a cute mode of transportation either by taxi/water taxi or horse and cart. So much fun. Whatever you do stay at this fine establishment. We will definitely get back next year.

Being raised in Spetses it has always been a dream of mine to spend a night in Poseidonion Hotel. An amazing story and much history is linked to this hotel inspired from the grand European hotels in the early 1900s.
After it's beautiful refurbishment, which lasted 4 years, it's unique classic elegance is preserved alongside it's 5 star qualities. However, it is pretty clear that during it's first summer in operation neither the facilities not the staff are 100 per cent ready.
During our trip to Spetses I received a call from the concierge asking whether we would like to be picked up from the port which shouts 5 stars... however it would be even better if the hotel had reserved a few spaces in the parking lot in Kosta and had a private boat to transfer quests from the land across the bay.
We stayed in the new wing by the pool. The room was huge including an enormous bed, a flat-screen TV, a big closet, a desk and a sofa. The bathroom was also huge and very elegant. The one thing missing from this room was a mirror!! The pool looked great although we didn't swim. Hotel service needs work ,the staff was very kind however evidently unprepared but the view from the front terrace during breakfast, dinner or afternoon drinks compensates any unfortunate shortcomings. The Spa was not ready yet so I cannot comment ot that.
I will definately visit Poseidonion hotel soon and I am confident that next time it's going to be perfect from every angle.
P.S. Don't forget to read the little book on your nighstand narrating the history of Spetses and Poseidonion, it will surely make your stay magical!!!

The hotel has reopened this month (July 2009) after a lengthy and extensive refurbishment. It is now called The Poseidonion Grand Hotel. It is become a lovely hotel, almost unrecognisable from the the tired, dated place that existed before the refurbishment.
The rooms and public areas are extremely elegant and impressive (all white and shades of grey). It has been decorated throughout in the style of a luxurious 5* hotel that would not be out of place in any major city, rather than the 'island chic' of a hotel like the excellent Orloff Resort.
Spetses is a great island which we have visited many times and, frankly, you would have a great time almost anywhere you chose to stay. Doubtless, The Poseidonion Grand is now a super hotel and we will spend much time there in years to come. (Although I may choose to stay at Orloff for the Greek island experience and visit the Poseidonion for a drink on their lovely terrace)!
