We stayed in 6 different hotels during our visit to the Peloponnese and all things considered, this hotel was the best. We had originally booked for Christmas day 2008 but misjudged driving times in the Peloponnese and couldn't make it to the hotel. When I called up the hotel, they gladly moved our booking to the next day without any charges.
This hotel is set along a pebbled beach (not the kind with endless sands) and separated by a narrow road. We couldn't find a place to park in front of the hotel but when we told the receptionist/ owner (Christos) he right away came out with me and moved his car from his spot and freed a parking for me. Since the winds were quite strong, the water was reaching the road and hence there were only around 8 to 10 parking spots where you could avoid the water. He was also very helpful in finding rooms for us in Athens. Sorry I took your time Christos.
The rooms were quite old but it was very well concealed. It had a very rustic look and certainly not luxurious. We didn't miss it one bit as we had a balcony and in spite of the cold and the wind, I enjoyed listening to the sound of the waves. The room was quite crammed too but good enough for two people. It had a wardrobe and an a/c as well.
I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone more for location and the hospitality of the hosts (oh yes, and the food too).
