My husband and I stayed at Remezzo Hotel and Studios in Pythagorio for 5 nights in June 2011. Our hosts, Lia and Vangelis were very welcoming and caring and they have a lovely and very well maintained hotel sitting above the little fishing harbour. If you are unable to handle a short walk uphill easily, this hotel may not be for you but the views from the roof top terrace are wonderful, looking over the harbour and out to sea. On our arrival, we were sat down with a cool drink and personal welcome from Vangelis. There is one apartment of two rooms available and we decided on this option. There are 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, desk, tables, chairs, safety box, air conditioner and our own private terrace set under a creeping trellised vine with a clothes line – a very quiet and appreciated retreat. Unlike the hotel rooms, breakfast was not included, but that was not a problem as there are several small supermarkets close by and of course, a bakery. There is wifi available but at present can only be accessed in the lobby. The rooms are well serviced each day and both Lia and Vangelis are fonts of knowledge of where to visit, eat and see and are always ready to assist. We hired a car for 2 days and Vangelis mapped out our itinerary around the island to see as much as we could in that time and we were not disappointed. Breakfast, if it is included, is served on the roof top terrace. The studios are on the harbour front and looked spacious. Our favourite restaurant was Irodion, a new restaurant that opened only 15 days before we arrived. It is only a few streets away and dinner is served out on their garden terrace. We would definitely recommend Remezzo Hotel and Studios for its position, price and character and for the friendliness of the owners, Lia and Vangelis.
