This hotel was fine, but nothing spectacular in our opinion it is not a four star establishment. we found the location to be fine not to far out from centre of Thessaloniki, but far enough out for there not to be any noise issues, buiding in a fairly well developed residential area again this did not cause any problems. The hotel has been modernised and is descibed as a boutique hotel we are not sure that we agree with this discription on the whole, staff were friendly and we received a hospitable welcome on arrival all public areas are clean as was our room, we had a large balcony which was very pleashant to sit on and contenplate the day ahead or enjoy a glass of wine after a day out. Our stay was for three night duration, on our last , morning our toilet decided it had given up and on reflection we realised had probably not been working correctly from the onset, but had put it down to geek plumbing which is often not good generally from our experience. Obviously it wasn't practical to be in a room without a toilet especially as nearest one was a good number of floors down in the basement, so we informed reception staff who arranged for us to move room for last night. It was agreed that we would do this in early part of evening as we didn't want to loose daylight hours on our last full day . On our return at 6.00pm we were given key to new room and really from that point on themember of staff on reception at that point seemed to start behaving quite unreasonably,, half an hour from our return we rec'd phone call to ask if we were happy with our room and when we replied we finished moving over he became quite aggressive even suggesting that half hour was plenty of time for us to have left room as they needed it to be free so that engineer could come in, my husband said well if your are going to repair toilet we would rather not move room, to which we were then told that they were unsure if engineer would arrive tonight, but that they needed to claen room ready for new guests! So are they seriously saying that they fully intended to put new arrivals into a room with a non functioning toilet! During our stay it was quite obvious that we wre only guests up until our last morning when there were all off three other guests at breakfast! All a little strange as we were being made at certain point s to feel like we were being a nuisance because we were changing room! All in all enjoyed our stay untill things turned sour on last day, but we definately think the hotel is quite expensive for what is on offer, guess it is priced due to it's self accredited hotel rating! Not sure that we would return as left with a bit of sor taste in mouth, which is a shame as Thessaloniki is a lovely city with a village feel.
