Pleasant stay for five nights.
Pros:
Front-desk, bar, and breakfast room staff were polite and accommodating
Rooms were comfortable and clean
Windows opened (with two options)
Lobby bar (beverages and light food items) and room mini bar offered reasonably priced selections
Cons:
Traffic noise all night long in first room. I am a very light sleeper so after two nights in a street-front room I asked to be moved to the opposite side of the building. Thankfully my request was granted. Even though the second room was considerably smaller (bathrooms were about the same size), the trade off for peaceful sleep was worth it. The small, single room has a useless, small desk area. Useless because the chair cannot be pulled out for sitting as there is no room between desk and bed.
Speaking of bathrooms. If you have limited mobility, this hotel will probably not work for you. Their bathtub/shower combos are raised; very deep; and grab bars are nonexistent except for the bar on far wall inside tub which is actually part of the handheld shower device.
Lack of iron/board in room. Every time I needed to press my clothes it was an ordeal. Their policy is no irons are allowed in the room. But, there is no ‘laundry room’ to actually go to with your clothes for ironing so inevitably they ended up bringing an iron/board to my room every morning upon my call. Do Europeans not iron their clothes? *smile*
WiFi in room was hit or miss--mostly miss. However, there is a desktop computer (with printer) in the lobby that has a solid, high-speed connection.
I would stay again.
