Location is one of my main criteria in choosing hotels, and this one is well situated in the center of town, a couple of blocks off Egnatia St, the main thoroughfare. It was recently renovated, I think, with an elegant reception area and lots of (unintendedly humorous) paintings, both in the lobby and in the rooms. Ours even had a mural, featuring cupids and dancing nymphs, on the ceiling!
Our room was very spacious and clean, with a nice little balcony. Staff were friendly and very helpful (my husband always has lots of questions, from where to eat to how to get places, and he was given answers cheerfully).
The breakfast buffet was extensive but not very inspired. The eggs were watery, the bacon boiled. But there were plenty of other options.
