“need some improvement”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

the hotel is fine but not a 5 stars. good breakfast with enough choice and smart staff. The furniture are poor and the bathroom equipment seems the ones you may buy in a chinese shop. Please consider replace with more appropriate (at least to allow the clients to have a shower without problems). N.B. I'm in that hotel quite often and all the room have the same problem.

“No way a 5 star hotel!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Maybe the worst location in the town, poor bathroom amenities, filter coffee from machine, and terrible blankets! (which 5star hotel use blankets?)

“A 3* trying to look 5*”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

Definitely not a 5* hotel. The sink was leaking and wasn't fixed, the furniture wasn't in good shape, tv had poor picture. Shabby 3* hotel trying to look like its something else. You can put carpets and expensive-looking furniture, but it doesn't make a 5* hotel.
Breakfast wasn't that good. And the hotel is located on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, nothing to do around, and frankly not a good idea to leave the hotel after dark.
Wouldn't recommend it. You can find much more pleasant and cheaper hotels much closer to city center.

“EXCELLENT STAY, EXCELLENT STAFF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

it was the first time staying at this hotel and i was surprised by it's hospitality. i'm travelling a lot and have experienced bad stays. I would suggest that for a conference( i have been there for a conf), meeting or even a relaxed weekend( food is delicious).

“Not suitable for families!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

Visited Grand Palace with our 2 young girls aged 2 and 4.
The hotel was very crowded at the time of our stay as they had a chess tournament, but that was not our problem.
The room was pretty small to fit a family, and the bathroom could do with a renovation as there was no way we could get the water in the right temperature to shower our children. You could either get it too hot or too cold! The second disadvantage was that we requested a kettle, to prepare milk for the children, but there was not available. I think that the answer "we do not have any" is not apropriate by a hotel of its class.
Breakfast was fabulous, with a huge range of different kind of things to please everyone, and it was refilled regurarly.
Overall, I wouldn't say that it was a bad experience, but i wouldn't visit again with children.
