“Positive surprise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

Stayed at this hotel with my wife for a week end during November 2002,Allthough the hotel is not new(2002),it is well maintained and in satisfied condition.Located at the very center of the city of Thessaloniki,it offers a very good stay to his quests. The rooms are in ``normal`` size, well sound-proofed,but the baths need renovation. The breakfast not very rich but delicious and the staff pleasant and helpfull.Clean and quiet building.Overall i recomend this hotel for those who want a nice stay at the center of Thessaloniki. And a tip.Ask for the ...02`s rooms!

“Excellent choice for the active businessman”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

Situated in the center and with excellent communications, Egnatia Palace offered solid service, nice (recently refurbished?) rooms, excellent spa and gym facilities and a decent breakfast. And to boot, excellent deals!

“Great choice!”

Location is just 50 meters from Aristotelous street and square which gives lots of opportunities to both explore downtown historical sites and for great shopping. We had a spacious suite with a large terrace and great view on large park and ancient Turkish bath just across the street. Lots of amenities in the suite were quite unexpected but pleasant surprise as well as great service by receptionist. Room service is more than ok. And all of this for more than a decent price. Photos on web presentation are very realistic. The only thing that should be improved is breakfast. Definitely we'll come back.

“Perfectly Located, No Frills Accommodation”

We had a quick stop over in Salonika, and were trying to conserve money before shopping on the Egnatia. For the price, I doubt there are to many better options.

The rooms were small, but comfortable. In our room the bathroom was tiny, literally not enough leg space should you need to sit on the toilet, and you had to have the door closed to open the shower door or cupboards. It was however immaculate, and complemented by a modern decor. Soaps, shampoos and even slippers were supplied.

Our room had several very minor things wrong however, we were however one of the last available rooms (so we were told). The door to the verandah wouldn't close, the bed had burn marks on it (linen was otherwise spotless), the air-conditioning was struggling, and the TV signal was poor (when isn't it in Greece?)

These were however, as previously mentioned, very minor, and for the two nights stay, we barely noticed them. The staff were lovely, and apolegetic and this made up for it. They offered to change our room (which we declined), kept our bags the day we departed so we could go shopping, and gave us free internet and use of their phone to call KTEL to plan our onward trip.
