rude staff. Worst location- there is a road construction 2 meters from the entrace, so forget about sleeping after 7 am. Air conditioning working, but stinks. Breakfast disgusting. One of the worst hotels I'v ever been.

Central and functional; but old hotel that clearly needs a renovation.

The elevators/lifts were very poor.

Porn TV channels were comingled with normal, which seemed in bad taste and not controllable from children short of banning TV usage.

I booked a room as 'double bed, remodelled' and expected to receive a newly decorated room. What I got was two single beds (not a problem as I was on my own) in a dilapidated old room. On enquiring 'remodelled' simply meant that the electricity was controlled by the room key in the wall. The room had not been decorated in a very long time. The aircon had no wiring and looked broken (they offered to repair it) and the balcony door could not be kept open at night due to traffic noise. This is not the worst room I've stayed in but it represented very poor value in a city with many similar mid range hotels. On the plus side wireless internet was free and the people were very friendly and generally helpful (though not sympathetic to my complaint about the room).

We stayed at hotel Vergina for one night in April. The hotel room was very nice. Clean and comfortable. Bathroom small but very very nice. Breakfast quite good! Fresh fruit and yogurt among the usual cake, cereal, bread. Even eggs and baked cheese on fresh tomatos. Really nice.
We stayed at a non-smoking room and ate our breakfast at an actual smoke-free area.
The hotel is renovating some rooms so ask for a room that is away from the renovation areas. There was work on the 4th floor, still we could hear some noise (not much) in the 6th floor!
The staff was not so friendly. Not rude or anything but did not smile at all. No thank you or goodbye upon check out. Didn't find it very nice.
One more thing. If you want to use the hotel parking they charge you 8 euro. Not so good a deal.. We prefered not to use it.
We payed 75 euro for one night, including breakfast.
The distance from Aristotelous square is about 15-20 minutes on foot. Not so bad but not ideal..
I would stay at the hotel again cause it is good value for money.
