We were only going to stay in Ithaca for a day, but ended up staying three instead. The island is a real diamond of the Ionian Sea with spectacular views, traditional villages, and genuinely friendly locals. Aris and his adorable mother, the owners of the Odyssey, are the most welcoming hosts we encountered on our entire three week trip in Greece. Their apartments are beautifully maintained and have a spectacular view of peaceful Vathy Bay.
We especially enjoyed our glass of wine each evening as we relaxed on our balcony overlooking the idyllic bay. We did not want to leave.

Firstly the 2 previous reviews are of the wrong hotel and location. But still great reviews.

This is a wonderful hotel, located on the side of Vathy town (capital of ithaca island). Due to Vathy being a small harbour town with so much to offer this hotel is located in the tranquility of it all.

Over looking the town from a very unique location where no other hotel is located.

The owners are just lovely, warm, and welcoming. There are around the hotel till 1pm then your all on your own. The biggest bonus is that they have daily service, even though they are appartments.

As said, with being appartments, they are fully stocked, fully equiped kitchen, everything you need they have it. They are also child and dog friendly.

There is parking and also a swimming pool

I had a lovely time in ithaca and was very happy to stay, at Odyssey Apartments. New and clean.

stayed 2 weeks late sept., with 4 adult family members. Apartment spacious and airy. Upstairs kitchen with studio and balcony overlooking sea and mountains. Downstair bedroom onsuite with cool ambience. Adjacent restaurant" Odyssey Corner " served breakfast with personal menu and meals cooked while u wait . Esther brilliant cook and adviser helped by the new female Jamie Oliver "Karen". Beach 50yds away with huge space for sunbathing swimming etc., Bus and taxi only 2euro to Poros. Restaurants abound locally, and patronised by locals. This small development has peace and tranquility and such friendly personal service at fantastic value. We will surely be back again. Get Michael O'Leary to open airport there for Ryanair!
