The hotel is right next to the main road, it can get a little loud during the evening/morning. The road from the beach is uphill, nothing too extreme though. Distance to beach: about 600m. Checkout is at 9AM. All rooms have a very beautiful sea view. Watch out for the mosquitoes. Breakfast is the same every morning (bread, sliced ham and cheese, jelly, coffee, tea, orange juice and that's about it). You won't find any member of the staff at the hotel after 10 in the morning. They serve the breakfast, clean up the rooms and then they're gone for the rest of the day. You can get A/C for an extra 20EUR/week. I'd recommend you take only breakfast (as dinner is served at a taverna near the beach and besides you can eat good food at any other taverna for a reasonable price - about 10eur/person). We had our small daughter with us (15 mths old), they provided a baby crib. Water pressure is sometimes a problem at the shower, but this lasts only for a few minutes (i guess it has to do with too many people having a shower at the same time). You can't throw paper in the toilet (this applies to the entire island).
Agios Gordis is very beautiful, the beach is sandy, with a few small rocks right besides the water and about two steps after you enter it. Water is warm, there are a few waves. You can hire umbrellas and sun beds (two sun beds + umbrella = 8 eur/day), but you don't have to. There are showers on the beach and changing cabins. There are many tavernas all along the main road and 3 or 4 super-markets, you can find almost anything there, even diapers for your baby. There's a rent-a-car and a bus station, you can take the bus to Corfu Town and from there to any other destination on the island.
