“best holiday ever!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

when we first arrived there we didn't think much of the hotel, due to the walk from the strip to the hotel and the size of the pool.

However the walk wasn't actually that bad, it took about 5-10 minutes, even though the road from the hotel to strip is surrounded by barren there is a safe feeling to it, and a donkey. there was a very steep walk up hill to the hotel which made you feel like collapsing at the top. however there were steps further up the road which took you to the hotel. you can hire quad bikes and mopeds which are cheap, but you need to take your driving licence (which we didn't do :( ) the pool was a perfect size because not many people used it, therefore we were in the pool alone the majority of the time.

the hotel is in a quiet location and it is perfect for a relaxing holiday! all of the staff have excellent English and are always willing to help.

the room was nothing special, just basic. but that is all you need. however it did have a lovely balcony with a sea view.

we stayed on a B&B basis, there wasn't much choice but it was the perfect amount. bread, ham, cheese, jam, butter, fresh yoghurt, honey and a toaster. the drinks available were orange juice (which was watered down a bit), tea & coffee. however we did not like the tea so we used our own tea bags and instant milk.

the best restaurant on the front was pepperone, an Italian. the food and staff were lovely and you also get a free shot at the end of your meal. we went there every night. (which is on the left as you walk from the hotel to strip) watersports are available, such as: banana boat, inflatable rings and other inflatables (no jet ski's :( )

day trips are easy to book as the excursion shop it on the strip or you can ask whoever is at the reception desk. we would recommend "aqua land", £25pp return transfer + entrance to water park!

i would recommend this hotel to anybody, it's perfect for all different ages and tastes. we will definitely be going back to hotel jason!!

“Wonderful first holiday with my partner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

We arrived at the hotel at 5am and was given a room with no air-con as the system was broken, we stayed in the same room for two nights, we then changed to another room. The views from the bedroom are outstandingly beautiful. The pool is adequate and kept very clean, all staff were very friendly and we were allowed to keep the room at the end of our stay until 6pm free of charge due to the hiccup on arrival.
The hill to the hotel is extremely steep the locals call it cardiac hill.
Ipsos has lovely restaurants I would recommend hiring a car for a few days just to visit other parts of the beautiful island. Breakfast at the hotel, we had it once went out for breakfast for the rest of the holiday, it this was improved then I would rate the hotel higher.

“nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

recently stopped at this hotel, set in a beautiful location overlooking the mountains.although there is a steepish hill up to the entrance.the staff were extremely helpful especially mariella the manager.
the rooms are basic but ok for the price, breakfast is ok but more variety would have been nice, consisting of cheese and ham slices bread eggs and yogurt.
roms are cleaned daily and the swimming pool is very nice very relaxing and quiet.the poolside bar though is a little expensive.
,It is about 10 mins walk to ipsos town where there are a variety of good restaurants to choose from including a nice chinese.
again there a lots of bars to choose from but mostly empty till around 11.30ish.
we chose to use the same bar called tiffany`s most nights nice but pricey if you like magners cider a small local beer though is around 2 euros.
we found it a relaxing break and would recomend it if you want a quietish holiday.

“Could have been good, but was a bit rubbish.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel on the strength of all the reviews on this site, and that was a mistake. As reviewers have previously stated the hill to this hotel is a killer unless you have a car! However, there are steps up into the hotel if you keep walking up the hill, although again, these are quite steep.

Now to the hotel. From the outside, it looks great and the views are amazing. Not so much if you're on the ground floor. Car parks don't make for good vistas! Inside our room, there was blood on the wall. Nice. There's also only one pillow each provided and the beds are less comfortable than rocks and will cripple you. You also have to pay for air conditioning, although, to be fair, this is only 4 euros a day. The biggest failing for us was the murderous shower. Don't take your shower bracket for granted back home! There wasn't one in our room, and the shower was so highly pressurised that I nearly pushed my eyeballs to the back of my skull on more than one occasion whilst trying to shower at the same time as moonlighting as a shower bracket myself. Epic fail. The walls are also paper thin, which is awesome if you like hearing the people next to you poo. Personally, I don't. The rooms aren't that clean either, even when the maid's been. There were a few long black hairs in our room, which was a bit vile considering I'm blonde.

Finally, the breakfast. Sweet mother of mercy am I glad I did not pay the 7 euros expected for this frankly embarrassing "meal". The milk was watered down, and please be aware I don't mean that it was just skimmed milk. It was actually noticeably watered down, as was the orange juice. The bread was stale, and there was a tub of a cheap version of Nutella, as well as some cereal that I'm certain was out of date. Yum yum! Just do yourself a favour and skip it because I was actually affronted that they were not paying me to eat that muck. Repugnant.

The staff are friendly enough, and quite helpful in their way, but this is definitely not a hotel we would stay at again. Looks nice, but not up to standard. AVOID.

“Is this a pension or a hotel?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2011

This is the question coming in my mind during the stay there. A pension by definition is a family guest house. Personally I think it is a pension.
Breakfast: it is a big joke. The worst I ever seen since I traveling around the world. Really, my recommendation to management is to exclude this service from their offer. It is better to not offer breakfast at all , than to offer this joke. The breakfast contain one type of cheese, one type of ham (the worst possible on market), some very low quality juice and that is all
The room is very tiny, air conditioning is extra cost, no glasses in the room
Refrigerator was noisy and sometimes disturbed our sleep.
Now the good points:
- room was decent clean
- as a big surprise: there is a pool outside and a pool bar
- staff was friendly
If you are choose this pension as a starting point to visit the island (leaving in the morning and coming back at night) this is a very good choice to establish your holiday headquarter on the island.
If you have more than average expectations about comfort or meals go to find other accommodations.

Room Tip: Do not go there in August. Hotel is full of italians super noisy teenagers
