“Very good”

Just back from Eriva. Very good as a whole. Location - excellent, near beach and main drag, also when wind blows, sheltered at pool so good for this. Staff - very helpful and fun, Natalie an Andreas are nice people and Andreas' cocktails re superb. Rooms - good size and comfotable enough, could do with more cups and something to wash dishes with (had to buy washing up liquid and sponge). Cleanliness - one letdown of hotel, room not cleaned often enough, example = killed mossie on 1st night on floor, still there 3 days later, despite a visit from cleaners! Dead fly in bathroom still there when we left. Pool - very good and good size/depth. Overall - very good and can understand why have lots of repeat guests as very friendly people and food/drink good at poolside bar. As for Acharavi itself, it was ok but bit too quiet overall. Roda nearby was ok. Beach a bit of a letdown but poor weather for couple of days so this did not help. Trips - went snorkelling with 'Dive easy' in Acharavi, very good, Antonis is good guy and worth 20 euros for trip. DO NOT do 'Corfu by night' trip as we went on boat on 1st day at 4pm and when got to Corfu Town was told we were getting bus back because the water too choppy with wind etc, by 9pm when due to return the sea was like a millpond but still had get bus! 2 days in a row (transfer day before) on bus was a real letdown. Be preapred for the transfer to and from resort, 2 hours+ both ways. On way out took longer from getting bags to getting hotel than did to fly from Newcastle (3 hrs 10 mins)!
Anyway, it looking for budget break and friendly base then go for it but remember the rooms/cleaning is basic.
Enjoy.

“A great place......”

The Eriva provides a great base for your holiday in Corfu. Well situated for both Acharavi and Rhoda, you are a stones throw from all that you need for a typically Greek holiday .

Rooms are basic and some are in better condition than others, we had a two bed apartment which was sufficient for our needs. Not dirty, just typical of "economy" accommodation in Greek holiday resorts. Not the best I've stayed in but by no means the worst.

Staff at the Eriva are always happy to assist if there is a problem. Natalie and Andreus made us feel welcome, offering food and drinks whenever we needed anything. Ate lunch there a few times and attended the BBQ night, food fresh and well prepared. Mojito's wicked!

The cleaning service was not brilliant, at times during the holiday we had to remind reception if we were forgotten; they would sort it out with a smile - its Greece (slowly, slowly......... but never a problem). Courtesy baggage and shower facilities make late flights a pleasure, you should have little need for a late check-out flat.
Our kids had lots of others to play with and loved their summer holiday.

A few adults who were using this accommodation for a relaxing and quiet time (during school holidays!?) might have disliked some of the fun being had around the pool. Most were happy to join in or look on with a smile.......laughter, splashing and inflatable’s were aplenty, parents and their children / teenagers having fun together.
We spoke with couples young and old as well as families staying at the Eriva who had returned for several consecutive years and understand why. If you've booked your holiday then you will enjoy the Eriva and Acharavi.

“fab”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2010

Just returned from a fab holiday staying at the Eriva. Was not our first time in Corfu (we have been many times before) but have to say, this was the best holiday to date. The apartments were immaculately clean, and contrary to other opinion, the bins were emptied at least every other day. We were a group of 8 ( 4 adults 4 children) , all of who were very well behaved!). Natalie and Andreas are lovely people, and really made us feel at home (even if we werent spending at the bar).
would recommend these apartments to anyone, especially those with kids, looking for a relaxing holiday, in safe surroundings.

“From the moment i left i couldn't wait to go back!”

Me my mum and my dad went to corfu and stayed at the Eriva apartments and are definitly booking again for next year!

This was our first time in Greece and so we didnt now what to expect, but when we arrived at the eriva we were extremley happy with our welcome and the service provided. The first day we got there we were greated by the lady from reception who was very pleasant and showed us to our room and gave us our key, she told us if we had any questions to just ask her at reception. The room was very basic as we had already read on the internet, but the rep also explained that most apartments in greece are basic and traditional, the kitchen had a kettle, fridge, toastie machine and hob and was very clean as was the bathroom wich was only small but had everything we needed. the first night we found that our fridge was making a noise and that we only had two chairs on our verader, so as the lady at reception told us we went to tell her what was wrong and within 20 minutes the fridge was sorted and we had another chair. I cannot fault the service of the hotel one bit the staff are amazing, especially the bar staff Andreas and Natalie, they are the people who run the bar and pool area and organise all the BBQ nights and greek night karoke night etc. Andreas, Natalie and Maria (the chef) work extremely hard every single day and night and will do anything for you to make you happy and enjoy your holiday to its up most best, Like i said this was our first time in Greece therefore our first time staying at the Eriva and we soon realized as we spoke to people that they had all been returning to the Eriva for many years, so a lot of people already new Andreas and Natalie very well, and although this was the case not once did we feel left out or made to feel different from the rest, from our first night there Andreas made us feel so so welcome and got to now us despite knowing people who return year after year. The BBQ night is really nice you see the food cooked in front of you and its is delicious and there is a choice of meat fish or vegitarien, there is also karoke night and quiz/bingo nights there are many of things to join in with at the eriva which is why i think its a garunteed holiday of fun for anyone, but for me the best night was the Greek night; with greek food and dancers it was just amzing to watch and a really enjoyable night to join in the dancing and party.

The Eriva hotel is in a perfect location as you are not even two minutes from the beach, and the front where you have some great tavernas and restaraunts such as woody's which is run by great people and does amazing food. The front is very quiet but if you walk along the front about 20 -30 minutes you get to rhoda where it is more commercialised and has more bars and clubs for the younger ones or for people looking for a more lively night out where as you can walk 3 minutes form the Eriva and your also in the town which is lovely, you have all your tavernas and shops, it is a lovely walk and the people and so friendly and polite it makes a grear holiday. The Eriva is just the perfect location in my opinion as your in the centre of everything and you can get to places that suit everyone without having to get a taxi or anything. The beach is pebbly which makes it hard to walk on bare footed but most beaches ar like that in corfu but once you get in the sea it goes sandy and is shallow for a long long distance, if you walk up the beach you eventually come to a sandy part of the beach where you can also do water sports, if you really dont like the pebbes on the beach you can buy special shoes, which i did, for 5 euros and i had a great time in the sea and on the beach.

Unfortunatly we only stayed for a week but we are definitly going back next year for two weeks, i absolutly loved my stay in corfu and the Eriva apartments and as i say there is something for everyone if you want to relax there are places to relax if you want a night out of fun and partying there are places for that too it caters for all ages and the eriva is in the perfect places to cater for all that. If i had to pick my best part of my holiday it was definitly staying at the Eriva as i got to meet Andreas and Natalie who could make your holiday without even leaving the apartments, i think the atmosphere at the eriva is great and i didn't want to leave because i was so comfortable and so happy there.
I cannot wait to go back next year and see Andreas and Natalie again and enjoy two whole weeks in corfu.

“NOT TYPICALLY GREEK JUST VERY POOR”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

Having been to greece on many occasions, these are by far the worst accomodation i have ever stayed in, the rooms were never really cleaned, floor mopped occasionally, beds never made and toilet bin emptied after 4 days, the beds were horrible(our neighbours had fleas) and although people say typically greek, i have been to greece on around a dozen occasions and that excuse just isnt true.Having said all this dont be put off by the resort, Acharavi is beautiful, the people are friendly food is excellent and beach(stones) is very welcoming and peacefull.Just please dont stay in these appartments,We stayed first 5 days or so round the pool and the pool bar owner and his wife were very friendly, but we found only because we were spending behind the bar, soon as we started to go elsewhere they would not give us the time of day, very odd considering they are franchised , Put us off straight away, never spent any money there after that, The pool was o.k but week 2 saw it invaded by families who let their children get away with murder, so it was off to the beach, and to be honest that was much nicer. This was our 2nd stay in acharavi and i cant wait to go back but i would not stop in eriva again even if the accomodation was free.
