“Acharavi”

2011 was our first visit to Arharavi and we stayed at the Eriva Apartments. The apartments were basic but just what we would have expected for the price so we were happy. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, rock hard springs to mind. We found Andreas not at all friendly in fact he could barely be bothered to look at us and No we did not spend any time at the pool bar prefering to go and try other restaurants and soaking up the sun by the beach. Woody's bar just along the seafront was great and the two people who ran it were fantastic and very friendly. Also Meastro the restaurant along the beach was lovely, although the food was a little more pricey it was worth it. The Greek house wine was lovely where ever we went and only 4 euros for a 1/2 litre. Roda was also good and the Dolphin along the sea front for fresh fish was second to none and at only 9.00 euros for a delicous meal. Amadeau Travel which is just around the corner from the Pump house had a great guy called Sam who helped us arrange some trips to Corfu by boat and also a trip around the island. He was really friendly and was most helpful. Had a great time and would go back to Archaravi again. Also the Bakery up on the high street has lovely cakes.

“Old and dated apartment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

The best thing about these apartments are the location. We were allocated an apartment in an annex away from the main complex which was awful. Old and dated with steps down from the balcony which were shaky. Bothered a lot by cats which we were ok, with as we are cat lovers but if you are afriad of cats then this is not the place for you. Had a snack once at the bar which was fine and prices on a par with other local tavernas. Pool area nice and plenty of sun beds. Cannot comment on the entertainment as we spent our evenings at various other places in the resort. Would not return to these apartments.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment in the newer part of the complex.

“Eriva, Acharavi, Corfu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

2011 was our second visit to Eriva and we've already booked for next year!

This year wasn't as good as 2010 as there were too many other nationalities there who simply don't go out at night, they are happy to eat and drink in their rooms and it ruined the atmosphere in Andreas and Natalie's Pool Bar!

However, I am led to believe it is exclusively Thomas Cook next year.

We have befriended many people who have been going to this hotel year after year after year and we are not the sort to go exploring and now we've found what we like, we're sticking to it.

The rooms are very, very basic, but that's Corfu for you! The idea is you shouldn't spend too long in them, get to the bar!

It's a short walk one way to the pebbly beach (great if you don't like sand) and you are on the main high street within 5 minutes however, my recommendation is to stick to the restaurants on the sea front especially for spectacular sun-sets!

As previously mentioned, the hotel has a Poolside bar which is run by a Greek/British couple and they are brilliant! It's not a place if you want a "Boom Boom" holiday, more for families but, expect some late nights. This year there wasn't a night when we got to bed before 3am!

If there is a downfall it's the journey from the airport to the hotel and back (a week or two later), it's a good hour's journey but, hey ho, you only have to worry about that at the start and the end of the holiday, the middle bit more than makes up for it.

Hope this review is of help!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet night don't opt for the pool view rooms, ask for the beach view!

Stayed there with the family 2 weeks. It is located very good, close to the beach about 2 minutes walk there and also close to the town. We didn´t eat at the hotel but the drinks where good and ok price. It was a friendly family atmosphere in the reception and in the bar. Nice with live music on evening.

“Best Holiday Yet”

Eriva Hotel and Apartments is a lovely place, room very clean and with all the necessary cutlery, crockery etc. The atmosphere of the place is great, lovely clean pool and surrounding area with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The bar area is also very well kept and Andreas and Natalie were very friendly and efficient hosts. Also, Angeliki and Spiros made every effort to ensure that the holiday was great and problem free. Would definitely like to go back again next year.
