We booked a week AI at very short notice. We have a nine year old& he thought he'd landed in heaven. The rooms are spacious, AC worked well & didn't keep you awake. We were on the sea side of the hotel & had a great view. The grounds are very well kept, one of the few places I've been that actually looks like the photo in the brochure. Don't be put off by the size of the p,ace, yes it is a big hotel, but we never queued or had to do without anything. One refreshing feature was the allocation of sunbeds. Don't try before 8.00 am or the staff will remove your towel. Te pool is perhaps a little cramped (children with inflatables etc.) but there were enough sunbeds in August. The food was varied & tasty. Only downside in the restaurant were the British tourists who wouldn't come i to be allocated seats. We saw people come in from the beach & occupy reserved tables who refused to move. Ignorant, & the staff can't be blamed for that. The Thomson staff worked non-stop. Childrens activities on all the time. Evening entertainment was of the usual variety show type, with childrens talent show, comedy, a few brought in singers & the odd musical (Greece etc.) one of the reps (Greg I think) was pretty good with a guitar & sang some of his own stuff as well as covers. He was really good. Only thing to watch is the seating in the amphitheatre, it is very easy for people to kick their drinks over you in there & the loose cushions don't get wahed. Get there early & get a table near the bar. Also, the theatre gets the benefit of the smell from the septic tank when the wind is in the right direction... There is a nice but narrow beach with watersports available at an extra charge. Not too expensive. We did the boat trip & that was fun. Don't go if you don't like getting wet or sprayed with shaving foam though. a swim cured that! Would certainly go back.
Room Tip: Try & get a sea view, one side of the hotel looks inland at the staff car park.
