“great for familys”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

We had read reviews of this hotel before booking and were pleased to book a quiet resort a little secluded but not far from town. when we arrived in Corfu we were alerted to a difference to expectation by the fact we were put on a transfer coach being one of two going direct to the hotel. It turned out the management had changed the resort to a family resort over the winter break and the hotel was full only two weeks into the season. It was a little chaotic to start with but with a little segregation it turned out to be great, the inclusive is just that with the guys at the bar dishing out delisious cocktails at great speed and in good size glasses food was tasty and varied. room was large and clean. Bus to town was a short walk at the end of the drive and cost 1.1euro each way, the old town is a must to see. the oly down side to this hotel is the beach is small compared to the size of the hotel but we had a hire car so could and did clear off to more sedcluded places. All in all a great holiday once we had got over the initial shock of the number of people.

Room Tip: great for familys, not a quite relaxing resort, always something going on

“Just what the doctor ordered.”

We booked a week AI at very short notice. We have a nine year old& he thought he'd landed in heaven. The rooms are spacious, AC worked well & didn't keep you awake. We were on the sea side of the hotel & had a great view. The grounds are very well kept, one of the few places I've been that actually looks like the photo in the brochure. Don't be put off by the size of the p,ace, yes it is a big hotel, but we never queued or had to do without anything. One refreshing feature was the allocation of sunbeds. Don't try before 8.00 am or the staff will remove your towel. Te pool is perhaps a little cramped (children with inflatables etc.) but there were enough sunbeds in August. The food was varied & tasty. Only downside in the restaurant were the British tourists who wouldn't come i to be allocated seats. We saw people come in from the beach & occupy reserved tables who refused to move. Ignorant, & the staff can't be blamed for that. The Thomson staff worked non-stop. Childrens activities on all the time. Evening entertainment was of the usual variety show type, with childrens talent show, comedy, a few brought in singers & the odd musical (Greece etc.) one of the reps (Greg I think) was pretty good with a guitar & sang some of his own stuff as well as covers. He was really good. Only thing to watch is the seating in the amphitheatre, it is very easy for people to kick their drinks over you in there & the loose cushions don't get wahed. Get there early & get a table near the bar. Also, the theatre gets the benefit of the smell from the septic tank when the wind is in the right direction... There is a nice but narrow beach with watersports available at an extra charge. Not too expensive. We did the boat trip & that was fun. Don't go if you don't like getting wet or sprayed with shaving foam though. a swim cured that! Would certainly go back.

Room Tip: Try & get a sea view, one side of the hotel looks inland at the staff car park.

“Fantastic Holiday had by all”

We had an amazing holiday here at the Louis, so much so that we have already booked to return next year. We didn't book a sea view but got a room on the side that overlooked the harbour, sea and grass area and it was lovely (just hope we get the same room next year!). The animation team were amazing and the entertainment team just can't fault.

The food and service was first class. So much to chose from and having a fussy child eater, there was never anything he didn't like! Andreas and Natasha were just lovely, my son is only 6 and she made a special effort with him every night!

The pool area was great, loved the poolside entertainment and quizzes and the show's in the evening were also just as good.

Nothing I can fault about our stay whatsoever, lovely clean, big and airy rooms, the best holiday I have ever had! Can't wait to see you all next year and dance along to the "Chocolatte and shake-it".

Room Tip: go for a room in the middle of the hotel, comfy, airy and quiet.

“Good hotel for young families”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

Stayed at this hotel in the first week of October 2011. This was our first stay in an all-inclusive hotel resort, on first impressions the hotel was large with welcoming staff. The hotel is the first drop off venue after the airport which is great, especially after waiting more than an hour at the airport for the coach to move off.

The hotel is great for young families, the pool area seemed to be full of young children and parents enjoying themselves and having fun. The entertainment team are great and we liked all the evening shows, although not quite west end quality they certainly showed lots of good humour and hard work. Found i was singing the songs for a week after returning!

The rooms were basic but cleaned every other day. We used the safe in the room which was rather good value and safeguarded our goods and money. The food was lovely and there was a different type of food every night for us to enjoy. Chinese, Italian and greek varities on offer which were delious. Andreas was a delight, he was friendly but very professional, we enjoyed his nightly kisses and greetings. He is very hardworking but still manages to smile and be socialible everyday. All the staff were nice and hardworking.

The beach was small but really nice. Most people seemed to prefer the pool area so we had the beach almost to ourselves most days. The water is clear with amazing views of fish swimming around your feet, the views across to Corfu Town were fabulous.

We visited Corfu town by Taxi from the Hotel (10 euros each way) instead of the bus service, i cannot stand waiting around. The old fort is a great place to visit, get yourself a saver ticket which includes the Old Fort and Museums this is 8 euros or 4 euros for over 60's this is a great saving. We enjoyed the sight of local people swimming in the sea and diving from local sunning points, what a fabulous way to spend a day! Corfu town is really special with medieval streets and great shopping bazzars.

“This Hotel still ticks all our boxes.”

This Hotel still ticks all our boxes, you will be hard pressed to find a friendlier Hotel than the Kerkyra Golf, the Management and Staff are excellent.

After staying in June, we re-visited for the 10th time in September for another great holiday. The moment we enter reception we feel like we are home and together with other Quests, we are treated like part of the Kerkyra family.

Many thanks for assisting us in giving Eddie a surprise celebration for his 81st Birthday and for a day for him to remember.

We hope to return in June, enjoy your Winter Break.

Our love and very best wishes to Spiridoula for the birth of her first child in November.

The Dual Carriageway and the end of the long Hotel Drive is busy, but the traffic is split up by Traffic Lights which are at each end of the road, allowing a safe crossing. Turning left at the end of the Drive, crossing the bridge over the river, there is a very large Super Market which sells everything. A little longer walk, but there is no need to cross the road.

The installation of the proposed new pool will make a big difference at Peak Holiday Times.

Our Daughter visited the Hotel in August for her 4th time. Thompson need to make arrangements to cater for the 12 to 16 year olds and to provide some activities for them to take part in.

Room Tip: A Sea View room is a must, the views are well worth the extra costs.
