just returned from a typical 2 week holiday in st georges south,in self catering,the good point this time was that if you wanted the on site restaurant it was there 30 second walk,the food was so good we did not bother going anywhere else,kosta x milla,went out of there way to make our stay most enjoyable,they were on hand 24 hrs a day for our whole 2 weeks,this is the treatment you would expect for a holiday of twice the price,so for us stars is highly recommended.

Hi, stayed at Stars in August and just booked to go back next year - as have other couples we met while there. It is a really relaxed, chiled out place. Kostas is a lovely man and DOES NOTmind if you eat elsewhere (as our friends we met did). I think people who read the very rare bad reviews here need to bear in mind that as we all know, some of our English 'sorts' let us down and give us all a bad name. Not one person when we were there had any problem whatsoever (there were all sorts - but all decent people). No one had problems with rooms not being cleaned, or the toilet bins - in fact we had our room very well cleaned and beds changed as specified. Kostas, Mila and family deserve respect and if people want to behave like bums then they will get the same attitiude back!! They work very hard and were very friendly and hospitable. We are well travelled and this is the first time we are going back to the same place, can't wait.

just got back from our holiday at star studios, we had a brilliant holiday, kostas and his wife Mila are a lovely couple nothing is to much for them, mila is a fantastic cook and the meals were excellent we ate there every night, our room was very clean on our arrival and we were looked after very well, everyone was very freindly Kostas kept us entertained and was very funny he and Mila work very hard to keep everyone happy, Kostas father even helped out when I ran out of euros running me in his own car to the next village to use the cash machine, now how many people would do that! Can t wait for our next holiday there and would recommend it to anyone.

Having just returned from Star Studios we just wanted to give an honest review that cuts through some of the noise of recent reviews.

Star Studios offers good, honest accommodation. No it's not five star luxury but it's good clean, self-catering accommodation comparable similarly rated apartments in Greece. A nice big room, lovely balcony, clean bathroom and kitchen and relaxed atmosphere. The pool area was well maintained with inflatables for all guests to use and plenty of beds and umbrellas.

The on-site taverna/bar serves delicious homemade food using fresh ingredients from the owners garden, offering both tradtional Greek dishes as well as English breakfasts, baquettes and snacks. The Greek salad was without equal and the homemade taramasalata was delicious. Prices were comparable to the rest of the resort. To set the record straight we ate out at different restaurants in the resort 6 of the 7 nights we were there and we were never greeted with anything but warmth and friendliness from Kostas, Mila and family. So the reviews stating that unless you eat at Kostas' every night he takes a dis-liking to you are completely contradictory to what we experienced. If other people have experienced anything other than this it makes us wonder why.

The studios are well located in beautiful grounds, realistically a lazy 10/15 minute stroll into the resort centre. There is a supermarket within a couple of minutes walk. The walk into the resort is lit but late at night we found a torch useful. The resort of St George South is a low key, relaxed and friendly place with a beautiful beach and shallow warm waters. There are enough tavernas and bars to suit all tastes. Two particular favourites for us were Sunset bar for sundowners, right by the beach with great views of the glorious Greek sunsets. For a traditional experience of Greek food Gramaphono serves authentic tapas sized dishes from different regions and islands as well as different main dishes than you will find in the usual tavernas. The owner is passionate about the food he serves and takes his time with customers to explain the origin and ingredients of each dish. A great find.

Overall a lovely resort for couples and families and decent, honest accommodation in Star Studios that we would be happy to recommend to our friends and family and would love to have stayed for longer. A big thank you to Kostas and Mila for making our much needed holiday so relaxing.
