We stayed the last week of September and the first week of October. The weather was amazing for 11 out of the 14 days (29-34 degrees) you have to remember to take mosquito repellant as it is a green island so you will be bit!
We have stayed in St George south before (15 months ago) and stayed at this hotel for 3 of our 14 day trip (allocated on arrival). This time though we jumped at the chance to stay at this hotel.
Eleana keeps the pool area and gardens (along with Agi of course) looking lush and tropical. The pool is always clean and although a little cold very inviting. It has to be said that you won't want to move from the pool area as everything you need is close at hand.
Don't believe the rubbish some people put about the owners, I think some people forget that meanings can be lost in translation and that the Greek can be very emotive with gesturing whilst trying to explain things to you.
This is the cheapest Greek village that we have stayed in, you can easily have a meal for two including drinks for as little as €16 in total. Even the more pricier places have great daily deals. We loved eating at Sunset, the Balcony and Seagull. A couple of places have changed since we were last there but they still cater for all tastes.
St George South is a very small town with only a handful of bars/restaurants so it's ideal for anyone who just wants a lazy holiday with great food that doesn't cost the earth.
The town only has one cash machine (it wasn't working as it's the end of the season) so the nearest one is about 10KM away in Lefkimmi (mega supermarket), if your not hiring a car or bike/quad take plenty of cash with you.
I would definitely return to St George and the Eleana Apartments and I'd just like to thank Eleana and Agi for making our holiday so enjoyable.
