We are two good friends who managed to have two days off from work and family. So we tried to find some place not far from Athens, but in the countryside, combining beach and green nature. Friends recommended warmly <eleonas> and lucky me we decided to try.
After only 3 hours driving through a green scenery we reached the hotel between the olive trees. The room was elegant with every facility we needed or we might need. Plus confortable beds, perfumed sheets, coffee corner and a terrace with great, relaxing view.
At breakfast every bite was homemade (not only the cake and the bread but even the butter and the jam and the duck eggs)prepared by Marina and Stefanos the owners. To satisfy our interest for handcrafts, Marina gave us loom lessons. Next month I hope to go back to eleonas with my husband and children.

A great little hotel, in a wonderful and peaceful environment. Clean and comfortable rooms, nice decoration, magnificent view, marvelous home made food. And, possibly, the best part of the pack were Marina and Stefanos, the owners couple. We felt rather like being hosted in our beloved relatives’ farm than staying in a hotel.
Highly recommended, one of the best hotels ever seen in Greece.

This trip was a surprise for my wife. I wanted a comfortable place, in the middle of an olive grove, with a great view. Eleonas and the team of Stephanous and Marina hit a home run for us. Great hospitality, great breakfast, great folks. I live in hotels and this place was like a home. Clean, airy, fire place going in the "living room" great views of the sea. One of the best run establishments. Lots of activities close by. Went to the olive oil and olive factories, visited 1,000 plus year old olive tree in an olive grove of 35+ trees, went for drives to nice towns, ate in great taverns and hiked to a waterfall that was spectacular, all recommendations from Marina.You must stay here when in Rovies.

We visited Eleonas, by chance, looking for a weekend somewhere close to Athens.
Although the area is not impressive, Eleonas compensates you, with the owners' friendliness and warmth.
Gradually, we discovered North Euboea's natural beauty, fine beaches and wild nature and also had the opportunity to spend a perfect evening with Marina, who introduced us the magic of amateur astronomy with her telescope.
To sum up I am sure that we'll visit her lodge very soon with our friends.
