We booked our holiday with Manos (part of Thomas Cook) and selected Ville Di Lindos based on the reviews in Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed – Ville di Lindos lived up to our expectations and the friendly and helpful service offered by Irene and her family made it a perfect holiday for us.
We were looking for a quieter location to use as a base to explore Rhodes and visit the local tavernas but with good on site facilities so that we could also relax by the pool and soak up some sun. There is a lot to see on the Island and if you want to explore I would recommend hiring a car for at least part of your holiday.
Although Lindos and Pefkos are within walking distance of Ville di Lindos the roads do not have pavements and I would recommend the use of a taxi if you do not have a car.
Our favorite taverna – Valentinas in Lardos, give it a try – you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at the Ville di Lindos the first week in October, 2008. I have to say that initially I was disappointed to be told that we would be staying here as our original holiday booking with Thomas Cook, which had been booked since July 2007, was for the Krana apartments, in Lindos. Due to the fact that Thomas Cook had overbooked the Krana, we were informed just one day before our departure date that we were being transferred to the Ville di Lindos.

Well, where do I start.......we had a maisonette and wow, what a size, very spacious, two bathrooms, great wardrobe space, two t.v.'s. The upstairs balcony was lovely giving pool and sea views, downstairs there was a spacious terrace overlooking the pool, also giving sea views. The cooking facilities were basic, just two rings, but you don't go on holiday to cook, so this was not a problem. The maisonette was cleaned most days and linen and towels were changed three times in our week stay.

The pool was absolutely lovely, kept very clean and the surrounding area around the pool was very well maintained and immaculately kept.

Irene and Yannis were just so nice. They made such a fuss over our youngest son, letting him pick the name of the rabbit (Poppy), which had made it's home at the Ville di Lindos, Sweetie the dog was also lovely!!!

The staff were excellent and nothing was a trouble. If the shop was closed, they would open it so as you could get what you needed. It was only a basic shop and we had to do bits of shopping on an evening at either Lindos or Pefkos.

The downside to these apartments is the location. We were told that it was in walking distance to Lindos, but basically there are no pavements and the road can be quite busy. When you have a small child I think that it is risky walking this road as the speed of the traffic is quite scary!!

Taxis are easily booked from the apartments or you can walk to the end of the lane and flag a taxi down on the main road. If you book a taxi from the apartments it is 3 euros more than what the price is from the end of the lane, which is a 2 minute walk. The price to Lindos or Pefkos ranged from 5 to 8 euros one way, so if you need to use taxis every day, which we had to do, this could add to the expense of your holiday stay.

A good restaurant in Lindos is The Accropolis and a good one in Pefkos is Enigma. both reasonably priced and the food excellent.

Overall we had a lovely holiday, the only downside being the location but the accommodation and staff made up for that.

July 2007 was our third visit to Ville di Lindos and we were not disappointed. Having first visited the hotel in 2005 when the tour operator had overbooked the hotel we had booked we and ten other guests were transferred to this wonderful hotel and we've been going back ever since.

Irene and family look after all their guests in such a friendly and welcoming manner, nothing is too much trouble and as other reviewers have already said the hotel is kept spotless. The apartments are extremely spacious, well equipped and have fantastic views across the beautifully kept hotel gardens and onwards to the sea.

It is a sign of the quality of this hotel that we always come across guests who we have seen before and infact two other familys we have recommended the hotel to have now become regulars.

Location may not suite everyone but we enjoy the walk into either Lindos or Pefkos but the taxis are easy to call and reasonably priced. Most of the island tours will pick you up at the end of the road as well.

So enjoy Ville di Lindos as we have done and we are looking forward to returning this July for our foruth visit.

We have just spend a wonderful week at the Ville di Lindos right at the beginning of the season. The appartments are set in gardens around a very large pool almost exactly halfway between Lindos and Pefkos. The place was absolutely spotless and our appartment was cleaned every day (bins emptied etc) and linen changed every other day. The owners could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. On the property there is a nice bar area and food is provided at a poolside restaurant. In addition, there is a small mini market on site for essentials. Ville di Lindos is only a short taxi ride from Lindos or, if you are feeling energetic, you can walk in 30mins. Buses are available between Pefkos and Rhodes town which stop right outside the property. All in all a wondeful place to stay which I would highly recommend.
