This is a very nice hotel with clean rooms and nice location. It is not right on the port, which I felt was a plus. There is a mini-market nearby, and it is an easy 5 minute walk to the center of Skala. The 2 brothers are excellent hosts, and Yiannis was waiting for me when the ferry arrived, and drove me to the hotel. My first evening, Stefano served me a glass of Ouzo from Samos, on the house, and I sat in their beautiful garden, listening to the sea. Patmos is a beautiful island, and 3 days was not enough. When I return, I will stay here.

I spent 2 weeks at the Asteri. It is very good value for money as the rooms are nice and clean, and the staff quite helpful. There's also a very nice garden.
Breakfast might be better, but it's not bad. Only negative remark might be lack of restaurant/snack bar.

Clean, decent breakfast, free wifi. Good value. A very pleasant place to stay on Patmos.

I just LOVE Patmos. I feel so must at home, when I am there. This very special island does something very amazing to me, it is a feeling, that is hard to to decribe in words.
I have visited Patmos 5 times, and when ever I am there, I stay at the ASTERI hotel. From the first time I stayed there, I felt at home. I will keep on coming back to this hotel, that I now do feel is my home in Patmos.
It is owned by a father and his two sons. They are so nice and pleasant people.
The hotel is situated in a perfect place in Scala, at the bay of Merika.
From the hotel there is a wonderful view to Scala, to the Monastery and to the old town of Hora. The hotel has a beautiful bougainvilla all around it. When I am sitting on the terrasse eating a delicious breakfast with eggs from the hens around, honey, tomatoes, olives everything from the garden, besides a lot of other nice stuff, I really feel so relaxed and pleased.
I can only recommend this beautiful hotel and its very kind owners.
