So 12 of us Bristol girls (all 18) planned a holiday in Kos and we picked the Kris Mari hotel..... Before we went there, there were not many reviews from young groups of people soo I thought after our visit I would write one. This is not a hotel for large groups of rowdy teenagers.. but thats kind of what made it so great! The rooms are basic but.. you get what you pay for... some balconys are bigger than others.. we would regularly have pre drinks on one of our larger balconys till about midight, not gonna lie, we were quite loud, but we never had any problems from nasty staff or people telling us to be quiet, as we were respectful enough to turn the music down at a certain time. The pool was really clean, and we even had groups of people from the other hotel sat around our pool as it was said to be much better and cleaner than the others nearby. We found the people staying at the pool to be really friendly and nice, and although youre not allowed to eat or drink any of your own food or drinks around the pool the bar is quite cheap anyway and there is a very good menu.
I probably wouldnt reccomend this as a family hotel as lets face it, there was lots of different groups of teenagers, who would make some noise coming in at all hours of the night... (we would mainly come in just in time for breakfast... which wasnt much, but nice to have some toast when youre feeling rough).
The hotel is just outside of the main bar street, but about a 5 min walk? So close enough to make journeys to and from the hotel to drop back drunken mates... be warned though that the music in the bars does stop at midnight...(i know tell me about it) so if you want to go pre drinking in the bars before you hit the main clubs- which stay open till about 5-6 then go out before midnight, as we did this several times and trying to drunkenly dance when theres no music is not quite the same.

I'm 49 and I stayed with my 20 year old daughter in the last week of August. It was quiet enough to have sunbeds available every day, but busy enough with British families and couples to have someone to chat to. Apparently July is really busy, but when we went it was lovely. We ate at The Pelagos and The Alexander during the week - good food at a reasonable price. Although there are signs of the recession with closed down bars, Kardamena is still lively enough to be enjoyable - we sat int he square people watching for hours - would definitely go again.
If we went again we would go room only - the food offered at the barside pool is good enough, varied enough and cheap enough to buy breakfast/lunch there every day.

we stayed here as a family nice hotel very clean the staff are very friendly and helpful. very close to all amenities and far enough away from the busy bar streets,only draw back is the youngsters coming in early hours of the am banging doors and making general noise but the hotel wont put up with any nonsence which is a good policy, the mediteranean restaurant nearby is highly recommended for cheap and very nice food.would definately return again

We have just returned from Kris Mari - the hotel is basic but clean, rooms are quite small but you get what you pay for, pool area is a decent size with plenty of sun beds and cleaned daily with plenty of shaded areas, there was no baby pool neither but main pool goes quite shallow, there are signs up all over about bringing your own food and drink ITS DEFO NOT ALLOWED a man comes around and takes it off you if you haven’t bought it from the hotel lol. prices are very reasonable on drinks and food. We stayed B & B but only went for the breakfast a few times it really wasn't worth getting out of bed for; it consisted of tea/coffee, orange juice, 3 different cereals, toast, cheese, yogurt, and tinned fruit. The hotel was very noisy early hours but I totally disagree with the review above this hotel is nothing like an 18-30's, It was mostly students and all they were doing was having a good time, take some ear plugs PROBLEM SOLVED!! This hotel was in a brilliant location 2 mins walk to the beach and 10 mins to all the restaurants, there is a great place to eat called Paradise just outside the hotel the staff couldn’t do enough for you, they even go as far as saving you sun beds on the beach without any charge if you buy a few drinks or food and the food was amazing we ate there every day and we didn’t have a bad meal.
