My friend and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at Normas (14-28 Sept 2011). Both of us have travelled extensively throughout the Greek Islands and this really was the worst resort we've ever stayed in! Normas was clean and the pool area very nice but the bed linen and towels, worn and tatty. The toilet sometimes flushed continually and we would fix it. The fridge sounded like a Boeing taking off, especially in the night, and had to be unplugged. The one sampling of food on site was poor and the only tentative query directed at Norma herself produced an indifferent and dismissive reaction. The resort is listed as having "good selection of shops"...not true! There is traffice everwhere, especially scooters and the whole area is grubby and unkempt. There just didn't seem to be the air of pride normally apparent on Greek Islands in keeping things clean, tidy and attractive. A sloppy attitude prevails even down to the care hire. We were told to be at the pool area to meet the car hire rep at 9.30. He turned up nearer 9.50 with one arm in plaster and never even apologized. We understand there are people who come back year after year. Why??? All I can say is take a look elswhere folks. There is a much better time to be had on Samos/Crete/Lesbos to name but a few. Also, the air quality in Pothia is so bad that I wouldn't recommend going there without an asthma inhaler.

We stayed at Normas 14th to 21st September and had a lovely time. The accomodation was a good size and whilst I would say the towels aren't exactly fluffy white ones they were fine. I would say it is about average style for Greek standards although larger than some we have stayed in. Kept clean virtually every day and towels and bedding changed mid stay.
We had no problems with water heat and pressure was great but I know another block were having a few issues.
Norma is very friendly without being over the top and along with Michelle her daughter we felt very comforatble and well looked after.

The sunbeds have mattresses which can use daily.
Large supermarket just up the Road - Closed Sunday, Smaller one right next door not much stock but then it is end of season.
Our Favourite restaurant was Trata, excellent choice and service. The restaurants seemed to be better on the Road to Kantouni Beach, than in the Square or on the sea front.
The only downside is Olympic using the tinpot company Tor Air...it's been mentioned many times on numerous sites, so I won't go into here but I will not use Olympic again until they change their Carrier...

We visited this property in May this year, we are experienced Greek travellers but the accommodation was dirty and towels and linen of very poor quality. During our stay there was a problem with the water,in that we did not have any, we reported it but nothing was done. On reporting it again we were made to feel we were lying, however the rep came to the appt and saw for herself. The next day we had water. I note that Olympic are describing this property as having "good standard of accommodation", this is not true its definitely below standard. Would return to the area but not to Normas.

We had a lovely time, not a island i would return to as there are plenty more greek islands to see, and yes Norma and her family are very nice, but the rooms are in need of a make over, i would never complain about towels and linen but this has to be mentioned they are awful, the towels and linen where clean but very shabbey!
