The brothers that own the studio are nice and helpfull. the garden is beautiful where you can order snacks or their tasty cocktails. Free wifi in the bar area. The accomodation is clean and tidy on a quiet road of the main street opposite the church. About 50m from a shingle beach and only 10minutes walk to massouri. Tavernas are just round the corner as is the shop. There are plenty of tavernas on the 10 min walk to massouri with brilliant view of the island of telendros. If you want a sandy beach although dark in colour go to massouri. note i thought the aegean restaurant was the best. A would suggest if coming to kalymnos make it a daytime flight as some night flights you have to wait untill 8.30 for the morning ferry

We have been going to Kalymnos on and off for 20 odd years, so that says something about Kalymnos, and we have stayed in Nefelis studios for a large portion of that time, the owners (Apostolis & Stratos) are great hosts, brothers, nothing is to much for them, the studios are sotlessly clean and well maintained, situated in Myrties not far from 4 beaches. Kalymnos is still very traditional, numerous restaurants/tavernas serving a wide variety of Greek and European food. If your looking for luxury and 5 star luxury it's not your place: but if your looking for relaxation, no finer place. Star rating for Nefelis 4star. Lightweight travel suggestions, all very informal, shorts, casual shirts you don't need formal gear, or heavy shoes(unless your going hiking in the mountains), these people do own washing machines
