Blue Horizon Hotel in Faros, Sifnos island

Apart from the friendly owner, the rest of the hotel was really bad...
It was the first time that we made tha mistake and did not check tripadvisor before booking, and we had a problem...

The hotel, if it was well-maintained both in the surrounding area and, mostly, in the rooms, it would be fair. The location is quite isolated, but that's ok. The view is incredible from the windows. But the story ends there...

The airconditioning unit must have been more than 30 years old, the door had a huge gap underneath (at least 7cm), which ment that almost anything passing out of our room could get in. The room was dirty, there were hair on the floor, the sheets and towels were yellowish, there were stickers on the walls, and the balcony was really dirty and some canes put for shade were tear off... Also, there was a terrible kitchen appliance with a sink and a sponge maybe having been used for over a year. The shower was broken, and the toilet seat wasn't fitting the toilet. There were also stains of humidity on the walls.

The website photos are really misleading, and so are the room photos. It is nothing like it.

Overall I wouldn't recommend for anyone to visit this hotel until it gets really and fully refurbished...

Not many words, just think what is the worst that you can expect from a hotel.
Dirt? Rudeness? The feel that there's nobody to hear you? Poor breakfast? Overpriced services? Very old linens?
Double it. Now, you have the picture of this "hotel"...

“Horrible!!! Hotel Fira Blue Horizon”

Horrible place and experience!!! DON'T STAY HERE (Fira Blue Hotel) or his other hotel at Parissa Beach (Kouklakis Villas) No reception, terrible location, dirty rooms (hair everywhere). The room was never cleaned and the owner (Manoulis) tried to first make us over pay and then charged our credit card twice. After calling Greece from the US numerous times and speaking to him he assured us he would credit our card. Never did!! He is a cheat and a crook!! My next trip to Santorini I will take time from my vacation to personally have the polce arrest him for stealing.

I hope I can save you from staying at a terrible hotel and save you alot of aggravation!!!!!

The experience with this hotel is very bad. We paid 90euro excluding breakfast, which was paid extra 16euro per day!!! (for a coffee, sandwitch and 2 fruits). We had agreed that the breakfast will be included but he insisted to pay extra.

The service was awful, there was only a guy. We asked him to check the room and he answered "why, if you dont like it, what are going to do?" and on our last day he asked us on 10:00 "when are you going to live, we need the room'.

Terrible service, the rooms are the same as in a hotel that you usually pay 50euro/day.

Think again if you want to go there.
