You will find more classy rooms elsewhere, but somehow my wife and I just fell in love with this place 10 years ago and we keep comming back. Aegean Eye is perfectly situated on the edge of Kastro with one of the islands nicest restaurants next door (no, it's not noisy) and a great view. It's perfect for a couple that don't need the most fancy room and can appreciate the quietness in this small town. Kastro has only a few bars & restaurants (great quality, though), so one need to go to Appolonia to find a more hectic nightlife. The busses to Appolonia are rather infrequent (every two hour?), but you can get a taxi or even walk. Our solution is to rent scooters. We love Aegean Eye and its owner and could easily rate a five.

Aegean Eye is strategically located in the entrance of Kastro, the most traditional village in Sifnos. The nice view though does not offset the rooms medium to bad situation.
Really inconvenient bathroom-with a shower almost belonging to a "camper" era and nothing to do with the Greek, spacious and carefully designed bathrooms...
Bedsheets condition is poor and room not luminous enough. The website presents mostly pictures with the view but fails to present the reality. Fine for people who would like value for money and do not mind about room facilities that much.
The island though has much better rooms to let if someone does a more careful search...

The room we had had a view of the sea, (the actual property is looking over the edge of a cliff with an amazing view out. The property itself is on the edge of Kastro, it was very quiet there. When we asked the owner of restaurants or shops to visit pottery he was extremely helpful. the rooms were clean and everything was well cared for. Be sure to ask for the sea view if you want a view when you walk out your door.
Keep in mind, the prices are low and the owner will request you pay cash, he runs these rooms on a low budget and appreciates if you do this.
Sifnos was an amazing island with wonderful beaches and towns to visit. Enjoy the dovecots and mills, some standing better than others on the island.

Sifnos was really fine. The views from our room and terrace were great. Aristotle, the owner was incredibly generous and paid for our dinner on the night of Easter. The little apartment had a 2 burner stove, fridge and our own bath room with the usual Greek shower-- hand held sprayer.
