“Location, location, location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

Located just a half-mile from the ferry (and bus and taxi and car rentals for those who want to explore the rest of Naxos island), this tiny apartment was perfectly situated for people who like to walk. Far enough away from the more touristy beach areas and the downtown main street, yet close enough to everything in Naxos town--markets, restaurants, tavernas, shops, you name it. Gorgeous sunset views and views of the ocean and the iconic Apollo's arch. Huge balconies (much bigger than the apartment itself, although that's not saying much), which were unfortunately so windy that we could not use them--even a coffee cup or wine glass would fly off the table in the wind. It was handy for drying laundry, however. We were in Studio One. A caution to those who read the website's listing that it sleeps 2-4 people. Technically, it does. So does a 4-person camping tent. However, the whole apartment is about 200 square feet. Two twin beds in the bedroom, and a trundle bed in the kitchen, right next to the stove and fridge. It was necessary to literally step over people's heads to get to the bathroom. The website also claims the apartment is "very spacious." It's not spacious. It's the opposite of spacious. To call it "very" spacious is a flat-out lie. For a couple or a single traveler, it's perfect.

Room Tip: Be prepared for cramped quarters. But who cares? You'll be spending all your time outside in the...

“Simple and clean, with wow-factor sunset views!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

We loved the Adriani Studios. The welcome from the staff (owners??) when we arrived was just lovely. We were offered a glass of the local liqueur and a piece of homemade cake! Both were delicious. The studios were perfectly located about 5 minutes walk from the port in the Grotta area. The studio itself was basic but has everything you need, but the highlight is the little balcony with a unbeatable view over the sea and the Portara of Apollo. Perfect for sunset cocktails.

“Very clean comfortable room with amazing sunset view.”

We were collected from the airport by the owner . The room was a good size and in excellent condition. The cleaning was superb and was done daily by the owners mother. We were also provided with a map and small guidebook. Our apartment had an uninterrupted sea view to the Portara and the sunsets were spectacular. The fairly easy walk to the port and the many tavernas and cafes was about 5 to 10 mins. Naxos town has many interesting narrow back streets and alleyways leading to the old town and castle at the top. At the end of our stay we were collected and taken to the port . We were made very welcome and would happily return to the Adriani Studios and Naxos if we have the opportunity!

“room with a view”

Having just returned from a 4 day stay in Naxos, as well as Mykonos, I must recommend Adriani studios, This block of studios has recently been renovated to give studios of varying sizes. This main attraction is the view. The studios are at the port side of town, 300mtrs from the port, and there is a superb seaview looking out to the gateway of the temple of Apollo on the Palatia islet. Seeing the sunset from the balcony is to die for.
The studios are superbly clean, if small, but ideal for a short stay. They are owned and run by Micheal Kritikos and his family.
Michael will transport you from ferry port and airport. They also have a small hotel nearby, newly refurbished and very smart
