“The real paradise in Naxos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

I've stayed one week in Kamari village in 2bdrm/2bthrm villa with private pool & private outdoor spa-Jacuzzi (type E) and everything was totally amazing.
The house is beautiful, expecially the outdoor verandas, the jacuzzi and the swimming pool facing the sea.
There's also a roof top terrace for star and sunset watching with a confortable sofa.
The house is the typical greek one, total white and fully equipped, including stereo, dvd player, moka machine...

The on-site reference, barbara, is very kind and at your disposal for everything.

The beaches near kamari Village are the most beautiful of the island, in particular Mikri vigla and aliko.
The tavernas on the main road near kamary are very very good and really cheap...

The car is totally necessary.

I drastically suggesteveryone to go. I hope to come back soon.

“Oh how I missed you - Great to be back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2009

In Jun 2008 we took an opportunity to travel to Santorini for our two week holiday, this in place of our usual trip to Kamari Village, Naxos. It soon became apparent that our love of Naxos was more than a passing affair; leaving our pre-paid hotel, we boarded the Blue Star ferry to have just two days on Naxos! Hiring a car we headed off through the villages for even a glimpse of Kamari Village, perhaps we would see Zahia and Kamal, perhaps Tosca, the lovely Vasso or her sister Maria in the Taverna. Truth – we saw them all and vowed to come back in 2009.

So, with so much expectation, and after a long journey we arrived on Saturday June 13th. 2009 We were greeted by Barbara, and soon we felt at home again.

Naxos is slowly changing, the shops are becoming more upmarket, the roads are better, new dirt roads have appeared linking some of the best beaches, new houses are springing up in the hills and by the sea. Still the pace of life is “easy” the people are friendly and the gentle breeze eases the heat of the beautiful sunshine.

Kamari Village also has subtle changes, new walls in places, well placed with decorative pots, and some new pools. However what has not changed is the attention to detail, the superb welcome by Zahia and Kamal, and the perfection of a holiday here.

This year our villa had the addition of a brick BBQ – which made alfresco dining even more enjoyable and what man can resist a BBQ!
Finally, as we looked out to the night sky and the millions of tiny stars we are sure one of them winked at us and said “Glad to be back?” Booked already for 2010!

“Our kind of place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2008

With memories of a great holiday fresh in mind, we would like to express our utmost satisfaction with our recent stay in Kamari Village.

While organising the villa reservation, the information quality and communication promptness was exemplary. The reception as we arrived in Kamari Village was warm and personal. Knowing that Zahia and Kamal were around nearby throughout our stay, was very comforting.

The accommodation itself greatly surpassed our expectations with regards to facilities and location. Same goes for the beaches, tavernas and mini markets.

We were so comfortable in our villa, and the area in general, that we never got around to explore the island as much as we originally intended.

Our preferred beaches were the 2nd large Aliko cove/bay (from the south) and Glyfada. Both beaches offers as much space and privacy as one could wish for. Both beaches are also great for snorkeling.
Situated in the cedar forrest area, Aliko is the sauvage harder-to-reach beach with very few people - if any. Be sure to bring everything you need and do remember to take everything with you again when you leave to keep it as pristine as you found it ...

The main section of Glyfada beach was active with surfers so we found ourselves a more private spot a little to the south. It was so wonderfully easy to walk up to the Glyfada taverna for lunch before heading back in the afternoon to enjoy the veranda, the pool and the view.

The view from the villa changes as the day goes by and the sunsets over Paros are to die for. Stargazing on the rooftop terrace is a must.

It was a very positive surprise to experience how the tavernas and mini markets seemed to put in an extra effort to offer local and/or organic produce. We stocked up on local cheese and salami in Viglas Market in Mikri Vigla.

As already mentioned, the villas are clustered together on a hill but positioned for total privacy.
We would therefore also like to underscore that although Tony and Barbara were around in the area to maintain the pools and to look after the greenery, their pleasant personalities and "stealth" behaviour meant that we never ever felt our privacy intruded. Quite extraordinary.

All in all - value for money and balm for the soul.

“The Perfect Place to Unwind”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2008

Kamari Village is where we come to step off the world and let it spin without us - it's the perfect escape from the bustle of overcrowded SE England. It offers a particular tranquility, explained in part by its setting on a rise above the sea with splendid sunsets and in part by the complete privacy of one's thoughtfully fitted, comfortable villa with its own pool. Its real distinction, however, lies in its hosts, Zahia and Kamal, who balance respect for one's solitude with warm and helpful friendship. When you need them they could not be more attentive and effective. We have stayed there several times and look forward to relaxing there again in June

“Amazing place!”

We agree completely with previous review that once you visit Kamari Villas you will find it hard not to return time and time again. We are going back for the third time this year. As expats living in Brussels, many people have recommended that we try to spend our holidays not repeating trips but rather visiting new places. However, Naxos is so wonderful we can't help it.

Naxos and Kamari Villas offer everything we look for in a relaxing holiday - a quiet, private villa with plenty of privacy, space and amenities, nice beaches and good restaurants nearby. We generally made our own breakfast (the kitchen has all the tools you'll need) and ate outside on the patio, often visited by the owners' friendly dog Tosca. After a day at the beach and a dip in the pool, we'd watch the sunset over Paros before heading to dinner. Having our own pool was great and this year we are trying the villa with both pool and jacuzzi and can't wait. There are a couple of smaller markets nearby and you can stock up on groceries at a larger store near town. Highly recommend Picasso restaurant on Plaka Beach - great place to have a drink at sunset.

Zahia and Kamal are extremely friendly and helpful. They have assisted us with car rental arrangements, plane tickets, ferry tickets and much more.

Counting the days until we return!
