“A true Five stars hotel. A dream come true for our honeymoon.”

This is a very beautiful and clean hotel located 5 mins away from the town. We stayed for 5 days from Oct 17- 21 at the one bedroom golden villa. It was the low season, so the hotel was very quiet and the bar was pretty empty. It's too bad we cannot enjoy the hotel pool because its too cold. But we will definitley come back to the same hotel if we come back to Mykonos. The setting is perfect for the aegean Sea sunset. This is definitely a better pick for us than other hotel in the town because its on the hillside and its more secluded resort.

Their Shuttle service was wonderful, they were like your personal drivers. I just have to call them and they will be at the town waiting for us.

Love the breakfast so much. Everyday, we were looking forward to their breakfast. They had the best croissant in town.

If you are looking for a five star hotel, this is the hotel to go to. Hope you enjoy it too.

“Excellent one week stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

We spent one week in September (16-23) at the hotel. Although we were a little bit afraid by recent negative comments from reviewers, we must say that we spent an excellent stay in this hotel with a very nice design, very nice atmosphere and setting around the swimming pool, the restaurant and the bar. We also enjoy our room at the top floor, a superior room with two balconies with a nice view both on Mykonos and the new port. The whole service was ok, special thanks to Guillaume, a French speaking employee who takes care of us during our all stay, in particular during the breakfast time (btw, this breakfast is really perfect).
What could be improved?: the wifi connection which is sometimes too slow, and a shuttle time schedule which could be helpful when travelling to Mykonos town which is at a convenient distance by walk but needs a car at the night time.

“Fantastic!!”

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to this hotel from Korous as that was being renovated.

We were wonderfully surprised with this fantastic, tasteful and very classy hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful (Nikos at reception was first class) and all the recommendations from the front desk were spot on.

The decor of this place feels like a chic Miami hotel (think Delano), but it was not as "in your face". The rooms were spectacularly decorated with simple, white, clean lines, but warm because of the wooden floors and four-poster bed. We had a room with a private pool, which was very nice.

Although we went during low season, we would highly recommend this hotel even if the price may be much higher in peak season. The only downside is that it is slightly near the road and so traffic noise and tour busses peeping into the shard pool area as they drive by may not be ideal.

Room Tip: Get a room with a pool and sea view.

“Beautiful Cavo Tagoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

Four years ago I arrived in Mykonos on a cruise, so excited to finally be in the Greek Isles! As I rode wide eyed into town on the shuttle, we passed the most glorious hotel on the side of the road, and I stared at the beauty! I was enthralled with Mykonos Town and vowed that someday I would return for more than a few hours. On the way back to the ship I once again stared in awe at the beautiful white hotel on the mountainside and thought that someday I needed to return and stay in that hotel! A dream? Maybe...

Well two weeks ago I finally made the dream come true. I planned a trip to Greece and with help from a Mykonos expert, I was able to find out the name of the hotel I had longed to stay at. The prices were outrageous, but I decided to totally spoil myself and splurge for 2 of the nights and stay in a room with my own pool. What luxury awaited me!

The hotel van met me at the ferry when I arrived. I was excited to be making this dream come true. On entering the lobby I saw that the white beauty of the outside continued into the inside. As another couple was also checking in their reception person told them they had been upgraded. I was a little upset that I hadn't been, but then I had reserved the room with the private pool anyway. Everything was elegant, from the champagne with the blackberry in the glass upon arriving, to the tour up to the room. And the room was one from the webside, beautiful! All white and the pool was gorgeous. I had just the bed I wanted from the pictures so it did feel like a paradise.

Unfortunately I got sick the first night with a terrible cold and spent the next day in bed and lying on the padded bed on my balcony all day. Unfortunately what I hadn't thought about was that the gorgeous infinity pool on my balcony was NOT heated! It was so cold that it was impossible to enjoy it. A sad reality for me. Something I wish I'd been aware of before reserving that room this time of year.

I took the hotel shuttle into town for dinner and asked that they just put some fresh towels in my room since I hadn't had them clean it so I could just stay there all day, but when I returned they had cleaned the entire room, even though it was evening when I finally left. They continually asked if there was anything they could get me or do for me. I found the people to be very kind and helpful. They were very kind and patient explaining different restaurants and directions.

I liked that their shuttle was available to take you to town whenever you needed to go. Since they can't actually drive into the town, you are let out on the outskirts. I took a taxi back to the hotel because they were easier to access and it was just 3.50 euros, so not bad. I know some don't mind the walk, but you have to take into consideration that there is no sidewalk and you are walking on a narrow 2 lane road.

I only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was lovely. The sunset views were lovely too, but each of the nights I was there, cruise ships were docked and part of every picture of the sunset. It was so windy this time of year on the island, but I loved that too.

It's true what others say about the shuttle passing and as it did and the ships' passengers stared up at the elegant hotel, I would think to myself, that they too, could be a guest there someday! I didn't mind at all, having it near the road. After all, that is how I had originally found it.

I had a nice stay and felt that the staff was kind and helpful, but there was a stiff, formal feeling there. I moved on to another 5 star hotel on a different part of the island for the next part of my trip, and had quite a different, and absolutely wonderful experience which I will review on their site.

Cavo Tagoo is a place to see once in your life! Even if it is just for a dinner and tour.

Room Tip: I think it would be wise to always ask if an upgrade was available, it seems if it is, they are good...

“New rich hotel with nice rooms and average service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011 via mobile

Most of the guest aré here to ser and be seen, reception is very deceiving, rooms nice, although buses pass 10 meters from the room. Pool too small for size of hotel. Some waiters are excellent others clearly don t know the correct distance to maintain with guests and behave like you aré their buddy. All in all too expensive for the quality.
