“the very best I ever staid in mykonos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2011

we were paying 160.00 euro a night and American bufet breakfast was included
we had a very big room with private balcony viewing the new port and the boats
I liked everything in this hotel but there are a couple of things maked it unique
my bed was a real king size 2 x 2 meters and the bathroom was big!!!(on the most mykonian 4-5 stars its a like a big hole)
iron and ironing board was there (in some hotels its ....on request)
staff was there to help 24/7
wi fi IS FREE OF CHARGES
and you know what I always say? if a hotel will try to charge me for wi fi I will never go back
the San Antonio summerland not only have it for free but if you dont have a laptop they have an internet room with 4 pc 24/7 free of charges!!
thank you all staff of the San Antonio summerland
I hope I will see you all once again this summer again
and especially THANK YOU GIORINA you make best omelets in crepes in the morning

“simply one of the best hotels ever!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2010

I read some of the bad reviwes about this place and that made me think about going to the san antonio a lot. but the price was very good, the location seemed to be perfect and that made us take the dissition to book a room. We had the best time, the people were all very very friendly and allways ready to provied us with everything. the breakfast the dinner, the pool, the lady at the reception desk with all her information....i do not know where to start and where to end. i would stay there again and again and again and i can not wait to go back with my family one of the comming summers. Thank you all for the lovely staying and see you soon.

“It's a Winner!”

The San Antonio Summerland Hotel is a beautiful Hotel in a great location. There is a regular shuttle that goes to town. Make sure you make arrangements for the shuttle to pick you up at the wharf if you come in my jet boat. The hotel has lovely marble floors, a full tub, a hot buffet breakfast, a bar, lovely view and computer available.

“Worth every dime-would stay there over and over again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2010

We took a chance after reading reviews on this hotel and stayed here for 3-nights. Of all the places we stayed during our trip-this was by far the best EVER. From the room with your own private patio to the helpful friendly staff it left us feeling very warm and fuzzy about Mykonos and sad to leave the hotel. The hotel is a few minutes by bus from the main city area. This hotel provides you with a free shuttle service every two hours, 24 hours a day. The breakfast every morning was fantastic and the meals offered during the day were also quite good (we ate at the pool a few times for lunch-Mario is awesome) and reasonably priced. Since the hotel was away from the main party area, we loved having our days (post partying) to relax quietly by the pool. The rooms were very clean and spacious (enough for 3) and the hotel is very nice overall-not in the same category as the fancier delux resorts but for the price worth every dime spent. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are family or if you need a quiet place to chill and nurse a hangover after a long night of partying-they really take care of you here!

“LIARS: A 2.5 STAR HOSTEL NOT A HOTEL! RIP OFF OF A DIRTY BED BUG RIDDEN DUMP!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

Just to set your expectation about whom we are so you don’t think me a whinny snob: My husband and I travel once a month all over the world and we stay in hotels and hostels we are no snobs. We agree if we pay little we get what we pay for but this day light robbery as it’s not worth what we paid. We have stayed in hostels like these and paid £70 and we have deemed that very fair but this is not fair and a total rip off not value for money at all!!

This hotel is day light robbery at £110 for a bed bug ridden, dusty, filthy 1980 décor dump. Another hotel for the same price gave us a front view of the pool and sea and new and clean and brilliant service and décor, and that was only a 3 star hotel is was amazing compared to this dump!

Look on the actual website of this apparent ‘hotel’ there are no photos of the interior as they don’t want you to really see the interior. All the other travellers’ reviews I thought was overhyped but they are all true and the photos apply to all the rooms. At £70 a night and stating this hotel was 2.5 star hostel we would have happily accepted staying here but they lied and said it’s a 4 star hotel for £110 a night...not true!!

Cons:
1. The hotel (more of a hostel claims 4 stars it’s a lie). This is a upmarket hostel not a hotel and its no more than 2.5 stars!
2. Stale smell is so overpowering we had to change rooms and was not better in the next room
3. Bathroom is not clean it’s filthy and old, had to clean the shower and toilet seat!
4. Shower is Greek shower (so it requires you to hold the head while you wash) which is expected in Greece but a joint hotel geyser ensure your scalded or frozen when other guests shower in neighbouring rooms!
5. Furniture in room is filthy and not been steam cleaned in years, too scared to sit on them
6. Bed bugs/Mites in bed at nigh you can feel them biting you and itching your skin
7. A road is about 300m away but as it’s in a gully the sound travels all night.
8. Rooms are not sound proofed and floors are all stone so you can hear people all night drunk and moving around. We did not sleep on both nights here. Could hear men having intercourse both nights as it’s a gay friendly hotel which is fine if you have carpeted floors so the sound does not carry!
9. Inside decor has never been updated the furniture and even telephone are from the early eighties and not old and deteriorated!
10. The manager refused to refund us back part of the money says she has some certificate that it’s a 4 star hotel but this is not up on the wall of the hotel anywhere to be seen as it’s not true. They are robbing people by lying and saying that it’s ok to charge £110 a night for a 2.5 star hostel!

Pros
1. If you are stupid enough to stay here at the prices of a 4 star hotel but that is a hostel you will get free shuttle service to the ports
2. Pool is ok (but as the owners are so cheap to maintain hotel doubt they chlorinate the pool much) and the view from the room ok but noisy with the road
3. Manager let us change to another room when the other was so stuffy but she was not overly happy about it
