We stayed at Meltemi for three nights in June at the end of a 3 week island hopping holiday. This was the best accommodation we had while in the Cyclades. The room was cool and spacious and met our needs and for 30 Euro a night we felt we had good value for money. I think the problem with a lot of reviews is that many travellers expect to have everything done for them and Schinoussa is probably not that kind of destination. I'm not sure island hopping is that kind of holiday at all. It is better suited to people who are well travelled and adventurous rather than for people who expect to be pampered. In saying that the people at Meltemi went out of their way are exceptionally friendly, went out of their way to be helpful and the food is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Meltemi again and highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Schinoussa.
