The Petradi is a gorgeous place- right on the seafront with private access beach and wonderful views of the famous Venitian Fortress.
Is it not along Rethymnon's main stretch of hotels and bars and therfore feels quite exclusive and private.
On one side of the apartments is a busy road so a sea view room is a MUST HAVE. You wouldn't want to miss the gorgeous views anyway. From the beach side you would even know there was a road.
About 20 mins walk (down main road) to the main town harbour area - 5 mins drive. In the opposite direction there are a few local tavernas offering lovely (and well priced) food right on the sea front and away from other tourists.
Large cheap supermarket on the main road.
Hotel staff very welcoming and friendly - as most Cretians are.
Rooms are basic but comfy and kitchenette's are very handy as you can cook and eat your own meal on your balcony overlooking the sea if you don't fancy using the hotel restaurant or venturing out.
Breakfast was always lovely with fresh fruit and bread. (There is a lovely bread and cake shop just across the road too!!!!)
The hotel was very well maintained and we always saw gardeners every morning.
Overall its a great base for a holiday and excellent value for money.
This hotel is exclusive to Thomas Cook, so book with them or go direct.
WE'RE GOING AGAIN THIS YEAR!!!
