Nice clean hotel with great staff [Niklos!!] booked last minute and I had a great time.. Niklos is a good chef plus he and his friend Chris ;) will take great care of you.
The hotel is just outside Rethymnon but easy to reach with bus, taxi (cheap) or you can hire a car if you want to see something of the island. Crete is wonderful and so was Yiannis Aparthotel to me.

“Booked last minute”

Booked last minute found the hotel to be clean and tidy,very close to the main road .Small pool to the front which is in the shade most of the day.Just a few tavernas the best being the fish taverna 'eleven' by the beach.Car hire is a must unless you want to bus it.

“Hated Stavromenos”

Spent a week at Yiannis in Stavromenos which is miles from anywhere. The apartments are clean and spacious and some have sea views but be warned it is between 2 busy roads. Beaches nearby are small, dirty and stoney. There are no shops within walking distance apart from 2 food supermarkets and only 3 tavernas. I would NEVER recommend this area to anyone.
