We stayed on a package holiday in October and found the Bio fine for our needs: a modern hotel just one street back from the sea, with small supermarkets, tourist shops and bars/restaurants nearby; a reasonable 10+ minutes brisk walk from the edge of the old town. We had a spacious room with a kitchen/dining area with fridge, m/wave and sink, and a balcony with sea views (between buildings across the street). A perfectly good buffet breakfast with quite a variety of hot and cold food (just don't expect a full English served at your table!). The only downside was on the one occasion that we ate in the hotel in the evening - a booked tourist evening with Cretan singing and dancing - the food was only average, and the staff were a bit disorganised (admittedly arrangements were made more difficult because the pool area had to be closed off because of heavy rain). Eating in the hotel in the evening was comparatively cheap, but you'll get better food and more atmosphere making the effort to get into the old town.

I am sure that BIO is the hotel with the best services and a wonderful staff, who knows to take care of the guest. The contact between the staff and guests is fantastic, you realy feel like home, you are one of the big BIO family. The owner live sometimes in the hotel like another guest and feel the atmosphere.....

The pool is nice with clean water andthe sunbed around is good. Greek evening with barbeque, music and dance every monday can I recommend. The bar and restaurant is very nice.
I am sure I will use BIO next time when I visit Rethymnon.

Professional and extremely friendly service with facilities for couples, families or whatever.
There is a small swimming pool for kids which is 60cm and a much larger one for the rest.
The rooms are spotless and everything works. If something doesn't just call room service and it's fixed immediately.

Classy reception, building, staff, play&pool area, and free wifi. :) also received a free voucher for our first buffet dinner which was nice. The bartender and receptionist were in particular very friendly towards our family.
A bit disappointing then to find our spacious room less than clean. The previous(?) occupant's running shorts were hanging to dry behind the bathroom door, and neither the floor nor the furniture seemed to have been vacumed in a while.
Also, with a 2 year old sleeping in the room, we noticed the extremely noisy fan in the bathroom, the bathroom door that wouldnt close without a loud creek, and the tap tap that sounded like it was tormented every time we turned it on.
