“Good value for money”

We stayed in this hotel during summer holidays and we were very happy.
Hotel staff was very friendly, we often order room service and had coffee in the balcony, they did not charge much for this service. Location is little noisy, so I would recommend room facing garden, not street. During breakfast and dinner, food was plenty and of good quality, although not many vegetarian choice.
Though, I must say, they did charge a lot for using an electronic safety locker, which is usually free in most of hotels.

“Good hotel, excellent staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

Stayed over summer holidays with my mother and two children. The hotel is in a busy street in Rethymnon, approx. 5 minutes from the pedestrian zone. Had to sleep with closed windows (double-glazing provided good soundproofing) and air conditioning on. We were given two rooms connected by a small private hall which felt really cosy. The rooms are spacious and much more modern than the hotel's exterior would let you think. Every room has a balcony and a small fridge. Wireless Internet is free. Only the bathrooms were not fully equipped: one had no towel rack while the other had no shower cabin!? Warning for elderly visitors: the shower cabins are extremely hard to get in and out of!

The hotel pool is more of a large bathtub so don't count on it at all. The city beach is less than 15 minutes pleasant walk away. This beach is OK, with fine sand everywhere, warm water and gentle slope, however both the water and especially the beach could be cleaner. We much prefered the open-sea beaches outside the town. Just take the city bus opposite the hotel and ride for 15 minutes.

The food in the hotel was buffet type. The breakfast was monotonous but acceptable. The dinner changed every day of the week which means that on the eight day you would get the same thing as on the day of your arrival. The choice was not too large but the quality of dishes was good, especialy meat. One disappointing thing was the lack of good fish dishes - the fried fish steaks we were offered a couple of times were dry and totally tasteless. For a good fish dinner you will have to go out.

A special mention goes to the hotel staff: from the receptionists over the cleaning ladies to those serving in the restaurant, we have never seen such a friendly team anywhere! The merit surely goes to the hotel's general manager who caters for a relaxed but efficient working atmosphere. The best touch: when they discovered that one of my children had intollerance towards gluten, they started cooking a special dish only for him on their own initiative.

If you are coming with a child bear in mind that there is absolutely no entertainment for it in the hotel.

Overall a good stay that we would not mind repeating.

“Modern, clean and generally, a good hotel.”

I spent three nights in this hotel, and it was the best of the three hotels that I stayed in on Crete during a one week period. Very modern, with nice spacious, well-lit rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet, and a bar that is open all day. Disappointingly, the advertised roof-top bar was not open. I assume that this is only open during the peak tourist season. There is a swimming pool; but just to note that this is in front of the hotel, adjacent to the street, although it is hidden by hedges and a fence. Note that internet access is free, but an Ethernet cable is required for use in the bedrooms. This cable can be provided by the hotel for a deposit of 5 euros.

This is a quite average hotel. The breakfast was very average, too. The service during breakfast is the worst that I have seen!
