I had the chance to stay there during Greek Orthodox Easter and it was very well organized, with delicious restaurant and very friendly staff that makes your stay there unforgettable. Certainly my next stay there is going to be during summer so that to enjoy the beach in front of the hotel.

Stayed here in October having researched areas and reviews of places to stay in Crete. Previous positive reviews helped me choose this hotel. It is ideally situated near the Harbour and old town and overlooking the beach however it was end of season, a lot of staff had left and the skeleton staff left were overworked. The hotel facilities were running at a bare minimum, entertainment was poor (only 1 evening), wine tasting was a joke - 1 taste from 1 bottle of your choice in order to buy it with your dinner!! The food in the evening was cold and basic, the hotel lacked atmosphere and was not welcoming for guests. We spoke to many of the guests who had stayed that week and the previous week who were also disappointed with it. Would not stay here again sadly.

My friend and I came in October 2011and were greeted warmly by Nikos who took our bags up to our high, sea facing room. The room was immaculately clean and there was a complimentary bottle of wine for us which was a lovely surprise. And where else might you have a choice of five different pillow types from firm to downy soft!
As we were half board, we thoroughly enjoyed an amazingly comprehensive selection of food for breakfast (the orange squeezing machine was fun to use); we had a very light lunch and then indulged in a great evening meal by the pool. Nicoletta was charm personified. There was entertainment every night (Greek dancing or singers) and ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. The maitre d, Georgious, was very attentive and the general manager, Kostas, was available and chatty.
The private beach was clean and the water was crystal clear. The location of this hotel is wonderful as the old town is only a short walk away, as is the bus station.
We would rate this hotel very highly indeed and found it hard to recall a comparable experience - ever! Do go.

my wife and i took our first holiday alone (no kids ! ) for 21 years and we were aprehensive to say the least. absolutely no worries whatsoever from the cleanliness comfort location, to the food everything was first class. great location too. also a special mention to ALL the staff probably the most friendliest team we have encountered. we will go back soon .
