Έχω μείνει στο "Κάστρο" 3-4 φορές, τις περισσότερες πριν την ανακαίνιση. Έτσι την τελευταία φορά που το επισκέφτηκα με τον άντρα μου περίμενα να δω τις αλλαγές που έβλεπα και στις φωτογραφίες. Δυστυχώς απογοητεύτηκα λιγάκι. Μας έβαλαν πάλι σε δωμάτιο με 3 κρεβάτια (ποιος ο λόγος?), το διπλό κρεβάτι ήταν κολλημένο στον πλάγιο τοίχο ο οποίος είχε φθαρεί λόγω υγρασίας από το μπάνιο. Η ντουζιέρα είχε μούχλα. Πιστεύω ότι το προσωπικό (το οποίο είναι άψογο!) θα μπορούσε να δώσει μεγαλύτερη βαρύτητα σε αυτά, γιατί το ξενοδοχείο έχει προοπτικές να γίνει πολύ καλύτερο!

I stayed at the Kastro Hotel for one night in September, together with my husband and I would definitely like to stay there again.

The hotel may not be the most beautiful one in terms of interior design (let's remember it is not a luxurious 5-star resort), but I personally found it pretty, comfortable and clean. It was also very quiet and at the same time conveniently located near all the important spots of the town. The price is very reasonable and it includes great breakfast buffet.

The staff was very helpful and kind. I´m not sure why one of the reviewers complains that ¨they do not like to get involved¨ with the guests. In my opinion, there is nothing more annoying than being bothered all the time with offers of help or advice. When I need anything, I simply ask for it. Perhaps this is why I found staff's behaviour respectful rather than excessively ¨quiet¨.

If you are looking for comfort, good sleep quality, attractive price and great food, Kastro Hotel is THE option.

not the kind of hotel I would go back to, this hotel is pretty average in general. the staff is quiet, do not like to get involved with guests beside the basis stuff. I am not sure I can recommend it. the room was clean so can't complain about that.

We stayed at the Kastro Hotel for one night after arriving in Crete. The hotel has been recently remodeled and we had great service. The room and bathroom were moderately sized. The breakfast buffet was great. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the main square and fortress, and is located on a quiet street. A great value and I would definately stay here again.
