The staff were very friendly and helpful; we stayed there while the 48 hour strike was on. The reception guy actually phoned Knossos Palace to see if it was open for us; he also told us the private buses were running, otherwise we would have been stuck in Heraklion with nothing to do.The publicity photos created a completely false impression; made the hotel look much better than it was. Room very small. We had to make an appointment to pass each other at the end of the beds. Bathroom very small, toilet hard to get to (had to back in!).
