“Perfect !”

Our 4 persons family (dauhters 12 and 14 years old) stayed for 10 days. We had book the bungalow more than month in advance and found the mistake in the discribtion of bungalow and prices. We were really dissapointed, but...very soon received kind answer from Rooms Division Manager with the apology and kind offer. This was the star of our continuos kindly suprising: welcoming multilingual reception staff, broad assortimen of deliciuos food, creative animation team performing not only aqua gym, step aerobic, joga, strech, volleyball but wonderful plays such as "Mama Mia", "King Lion" and others, fine tennis court, clean and nice beach and wonderful, wonderful piano playing on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. This piano playing pretend to be the single reason to come to this hotel again !

“Like a cruise on land!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2009

The Agapi Beach is a beautifully appointed hotel with very attentive and professional staff. The rooms were some of the best I have had in Greece--lots of space, plush, comfortable beds (!) and roomy patios overlooking the grounds and sea. The all inclusive package is very generous--with multiple food and bar venues throughout the property. The beach area was far nicer than they led you to believe, the three pools are nice (the two smaller ones are keenly hidden away), and the fitness center (though QUITE small and a bit stuffy) was a really great option so rare in Greece. Activities were available for those who like the cruise ship feel of an all inclusive place (and many of the "animation" staff were genuinely nice)--including activities for kids. It seemed like a good family resort--but there were many couples there too.
The neighborhood that the Agapi Beach is in was a BIT sketchy, but it seemed like few folk left the place. I also found the entertainment very bizarre--i think you need to go into it with a very good sense of humor and a love of kitzsch! Food was good, but I wouldn't bother with the reservation only taverna-- didn't find the food as good or worth the fuss. I LOVED the Crete table in the main dining room--with Crete specialities that I looked forward to each day.

“Very Nice Staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2009

My wife and I have spent a wonderful 1st May vacation in this hotel, it passed more than one month, we still remember your smile; high efficiency of hotel management; dining service regardless of cost; exciting wake up announcement by animation team..., it's a pitty that we lost your night show, bit may be a good excuse for us to come back!

“great all-inclusive value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2009

my wife and i spent 3 days at the agapi beach hotel. i was a little wary at first because there were very few reviews on tripadvisor and even fewer in english. but i fumbled my way through the non-english reviews and came to the conclusion that it was worth a try.

i was very pleasantly surprised by this resort. it's not the nicest you'll find, but for the value it was spectacular (i paid about 390 euros for 3 nights on vacations.gr). the food was delicious, the beach was clean and beautiful, and the pools were also very nice. the rooms were also fairly comfortable. i'd recommend getting a bungalow if you have the choice. they seem to be a little quieter and nicer.

some other observations: the crowd here is mostly older and a huge percentage comes from germany, france, and russia. this is why there were so few tripadvisor reviews. one of the staff told me that they get about 25 americans per year. the staff kept asking us where we were from. they were all very friendly and great, though. they seem to have good options for kids if you're traveling with your family. they also offer a lot of water sports activities.

the food options are limited to the buffet restaurant, the taverna (which only serves lunch i believe), and a small italian restaurant that you can only go to once on your stay (it only has a half dozen or so tables so you have to reserve a night). so i can see how the food may get a little boring if you're staying for a long time. but i was only there for 3 days and i love greek food, so it worked out great for me.

i really have no complaints. it's not a 5 star resort, but i believe it definitely deserves its 4 stars. it was comfortable and fun and i wish i could have stayed longer. it's also a great value for an all inclusive (also includes liquor).
