The Olympic is a modern, centrally located hotel. We stayed one night and had no complaints with the cleanliness, the staff, or anything else. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and the hotel is within walking distance (two or three blocks) of Plateia Venizelou, which is a fine square with good restaurants.

After spending a wonderful week in a great hotel in the area of Agios Nikolaos (Iberostar Mirabello), we spent a terrible extra night in Crete in this place due to the delay of our flight.

The hotel is located in the very centre of Irakleio, which is not exactly Paris. Our room was small and dull, with the carpet full of stains. We found hair on the pillows (some others of our group found clothes in the closet). It was terribly hot inside, but you couldn’t open the window (looking a narrow patio with all the air conditioned machines) because it was even hotter. You couldn’t turn the air conditioned on, either, because was too noisy for sleeping.

On the morning, we kindly requested a document, in order to make a complaint before the company. It was impossible to obtain a single paper from the hotel, despite the fact that it was true that we spent one night there.

I did not pay anything for the room and seemed to me awful. What if I had to pay for it!

The hotel was centrally located with modern bathrooms, but our toilet seat was broken. The service was mediocre and the hotel was average, but the price was very good for the area.

We only stayed for one night before catching a ferry out the next day. For one night it was fine. I'd describe it as an average 3 star with very little personality and average, not overly friendly, service.

The Olympic Hotel was great. I stayed for about six days and used it as a central location to explore Crete. The rooms, dining area and all main areas were nicely decorated, clean and modern. It did seem like it had been recently updated and renovated. My room had a balcony which was great. It also had one of the best bathrooms I've seen for a budget hotel in Greece. The shower had doors to alleviate the problem of water going everywhere and was spacious! The whole bathroom was big and modern too. The hotel is located in a busy main square and it is noisy very late and once again very early. I put on the a/c and had no problems sleeping. The breakfast was included in the room price (I paid 58E a night) and was the normal variety included with your room: hardboiled eggs, breads, cakes, etc. The front desk staff ranged in helpfulness but no one was rude or unfriendly. One woman in particular was extremely helpful and helped me arrange tours, find a laundry, etc. You can walk to everything from this hotel as well as to bus stops to other parts of the island for day trips. I couldn't believe the value for what I paid!
