We are be visiting elounda with my family the last 5 years. We always choose to stay in another hotel in the area, but this year due to something personal (that had nothing to do with the other hotel) we had to change so our travel agent booked for us the elounda peninsula.
From the moment we went into our villa we understood that this is the hotel that we should have visited from the first moment we went to Elounda. First of all the location of the villas is very good. We have 3 children , 12 -10 and 1 year old and it was great that we were located next to the main pool, the kids pool and the beach of the hotel! Also what we really liked is,that even though our villa was so near to all facilities,we really had privacy at our pool and garden since the villa is build almost 5 meters higher than the level of the public areas and to the left.
Then the kids club of the hotel is the best in the area. For small kids they have a beautiful small building with nannies taking care of them and for older children a huge outside area with all kind of games and even watersides that our kids loved.
The Spa of the hotel is to die for, not only in terms of decoration but also the treatments are really great. Food in all restaurants was very good as well.
Finally what we liked the most at this hotel is that clients were from all around the world. It was not occupied by one nationality but you could meet people from all around the world. This is really important for us, since now day most good hotels are occupied by people from our country and when we are not vacations we do not want to feel like we are in Moscow.

We have spent two weeks at the Peninsular both in 2010 and 2011 during the summer, and on each occasion visited the resort with our young daughter. It is a fabulous hotel for children, the kids club is great, and there are always a number of activities for the children to get involved in. I'm embarrassed to say that on both occassions we only left the resort once. The surrounding area is not that great, and it is hard to find authentic restaurants etc, hence our decision to stay put at the hotel where we had pretty much everything on our doorstep. This is a place where you go for the hotel, not for the surrounding area.There is an excellent choice of restaurants, an amazing spa, a great private beach and friendly, helpful staff that greet you - and your children - at mealtimes like old friends.We have already booked our 2012 holidays at the Peninsular.

We were fortunate enough to spend a week at this gem! The Elounda Peninsula is FABULOUS! I can say the rest about the area of Elounda which was quite an ugly village… The hotels' restaurant was WOW! No need to ever leave the place! I could have stayed another week, and as a matter of fact next year i will be going back for longer!

Waking up every morning and looking at the sea from your bedroom , let alone your bed and bathroom! Great architect, very cleverly built! I asked and found out that the owner is the architect which makes it even more appealing to me. On the tip of the peninsula, we felt secluded from the entire world. Its like nobody is around! What an amazing hotel.
