I stay at lena everyyear the family are lovely safe boxes and air con are always charged separatly the cost of holiday is mostly airline cost and owners wait up to a year to be paid so they make there wages on bar food air con its a lovely setup at lena basic clean and friendly x

We stayed in mid October when weather was turning. The room was basic, but clean, with regular cleaning and fresh towels. The owners are friendly and helpful. I would recommend their own barbeque, good food, plently and reasonably priced.
Pool was cold, as you would expect at that time of year, but we did have some brisk swimming sessions and it would obviously be more appealing in sunnier weather. Lena very close to beach and there is an opportunity to swim in the sea or just enjoy the great views close at hand. Would recommend it.

We were first of all given the wrong apartment. Another couple had paid extra for a three bedded room but we were put in there by the Thomas Cook rep at 5am in the morning. We didn't mind moving but the owner wanted us to call the rep. The people in the three bedded room hadn't really wanted it but were told that was all that was left and had to pay extra for it, so we stayed put and they moved in on the day we left and hopefully they will get one week refund for the extra bed.

The room was spacious, and clean. It wasn't cleaned as often as other 2/3 star hotels I have stayed in and the toilet bag wasn't collected or emptied, I think it was done once in the middle of the week. The bar area was nice, but as we didn't spend any money there for the first couple of days as we wanted to explore they didn't really bother about us. Also as I had read they leave the safe key in and charge you, I handed it back on day one and got tutted at. We had a nice couple next to us who had travelled many places (in their late 60s) and they overheard the owner say he is only interested in getting as much money out of people. We only had a few drinks there when we stayed by the pool as we got friendly with other people.

Would I stay there again, yes as it was very convenient, the room was good and you would know what to expect, but I'd take some nappy sacks to empty my own toilet paper bin.

The good points is the vicinity, the location is superb and either way you have tavernas and it's only a five minute walk to the centre. Overall we loved Elounda but would opt for another apartment in the first instance, if we had the choice. Many we visited to get info got booked up years in advance, as I know this one did.

My actual rating would be good, not average but not very good, unfortunately there is not that option.

11 of our family, 5 children and 6 adults, ages ranging from 8 to 70, have just returned from Lena. We were welcomed by this lovely Greek family and offered great hospitality in a wonderful setting. For two of us this was our second visit and we all will definitely return. The accommodation is basic but the apartments, bar area and pool are regularly cleaned. Food served in the pool bar is excellent .You must sample their barbeque food. Maria, John, George and Lena work hard and take pride in providing everything for an enjoyable holiday.
