I usually don't write reviews but having visited the Elounda Residence in October for 10 days, i have to share my experience on how good this hotel is. The location was excellent and the view over Elounda gulf spectacular.

The service of the staff was excellent, the hotel apartment we stayed in was clean with a breathtaking view. The food was very good and the breakfast menu was big and perfect. Weather in October was not too warm although was still nice for swimming.

Very good value for money, I would definitely recommend it!

We stayed 2 weeks at the Elounda Residence. It was our first visit in Crete and we are looking forward to come again! Lovely location, with superb view of Mirabello gulf. The pool was large and clean. Our apartment was great, clean and very well maintained. The friendly atmosphere of the hotel staff and the owner was exceptional, always smiling and helpful, I can’t see why there was some complains about the staff.

Breakfast was great, large buffet to choose from a variety of fruit juices, coffees, cereals, fruits, yogurts, cold meats, cheese, homemade breads and etc. Dinner was a very tasteful experience, greek Cafenion was also a very nice traditional place for ouzo and “mezes”, with delicious traditional greek dishes. Hotel complex is nice, clean and quiet. We were amazed by the number of returning guests, but after our stay we can see why and we are looking forward to come back!!

The only negative was that sun shades were not movable.

Excellent hotel with friendly effcient staff. Would go back again for another first class holiday.

Booked self catering but was disappointed with kitchen facilities, kettle and toaster taken away last but one day in case we stole it! Pool area cramped, sun beds screwed down and too close together. Staff were lovely and rooms clean. Location of hotel not a problem if you want to walk, very steep hill, but the strength of the wind was such that balcony windows either blew open or banged all night. Sun disappears behind hill at 17.30 so no sun sets. Man made beach in village was between two car parks so noisy buses coming and going all day. Two weeks here was too long for me
