Most reviewers seem to have stayed in a villa whereas we stayed in the considerably cheaper suites which are in the same building as the restaurant/bar. Can't fault the suite - nicely laid out, clean, everything we needed. And for us the proximity to the pool area was ideal. We had a look round one of the villas which was indeed very lovely, but at a cost both financially and in terms of distance from the pool.
The resort is tiny. Much smaller than it looks in the brochure. No spa, treatments are in the rooms/villas and my charming but amateurish manicure didn't encourage me to have further treatments. Most disappointing though was e food. We had a package that included evening meals and this turned out to mean a very restricted and very, very basic menu. One night the main course was plain baked chicken with potato. The menu rotated on a weekly basis, so easy to get bored with the food. We ate quite a lot a la carte, but it really wasn't wonderful. Oh how I longed for some nice bread, simple salads, fresh fruits other than apples and bananas. And sadly the second restaurant (well, it's simply an open balcony immediately above the main restaurant) didn't open at all despite having the weather for it ( a lovely, sunny early October). Of course food isn't everything. But if you are more than a stroll away from town, which you are in EGV, then it becomes pretty important. The other thing that disappointed was the wifi access - intermittent at best even in our room.
