The owners are CRETANS and really know how to make you fel like home. Where to start from??? The rooms are really comfortamble especially the two bedroom apartments, fully equuipped with kitchenette and all cooking Utensils and nicely decorated witn simple and chic furniture and spacious balconies with great views to the White Mountains, Aptera Castle, Cretan sea and the picturesque village.T he maid service is really good our room was really clean and fresh. There is a beautiful rose garden with a lemon tree and furniture where you can sit and engjoy your drink.At arrival there was a bottled water and orange juice in our rooms with treats in our pillows...so sweet. The hotel has also an apricot where the owner oferred us a big bowl of fresh apricots that we really enjoyed. What we really appreciated was when my husband felt a little bit ill and the owners themselves took us to the doctor to make sure that he feels good, they did not left us there but they waited until all were ok. We really feel we are part of your family Mr. Tasos and we are certainly coming back next year and the year after, etc.!!! The prices are really good if you think that most of the hotels have outrageus prices for what they offer. Go to this hotel...and experince a true Cretan hospitality but above all you will feel at home!!!

We chose these apartments from a TripAdvisor review. It really lived up what was said. Philia and her father are really lovely and welcoming. Our apartment was room 201 on the second floor which was two bedrooms, each with balcony and a kitchen also with balcony. The bathroom had a small bath with a shower over and plenty of hot water. Our room overlooked Souda Bay and it was delightful to sit on the balcony in the morning eating breakfast looking out into the bay and similarly in the evening with a sundowner before going out to eat at the many restaurants along the beachside only a few metres away. The apartment was absolutely spotless with crisp white sheets on the beds. We wanted to trek the Samaria Gorge and Philia organised the trip for us no problems. All in all these apartments were a real find!

We were recommended to use this apartment/hotel in Kalives when our Tour Operator went bust and we needed to find somewhere to stay for Us, My Dad and our daughter and partner. We booked three rooms all at the same price, Dad's on the ground floor and the rest of us on the top. When we arrived we were suprised to find that two of the apartments had two double bedrooms, so were very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery and a kettle and coffee maker in each room. The owner, Philia, and her staff were extremely helpful letting us use their internet connection to confirm the flight home and we could have stayed as late as 3pm on the last day if we had wanted to, having booked a return flight from Heraklion at 20.00hrs.

The view from the top floor was spectacular as the hotel is in a slightly elevated position (a bit of a climb if you have mobility problems) most rooms have at least a side sea view, but ours had the full vista of Souda Bay to enjoy. There is also hot water on demand as they don't rely totally on the solar heating, and all the rooms have an electric water heater. None of the fittings are luxurious, but they are adequate for this price range and clean. The rooms were cleaned at least 3 times during our week long stay. Nearby there are several good restaurants and a mini-market, and the lovely beach and harbour of Kalives.

Charming self catering family hotel, with genuine people that make you feel like home. When we arrived late at night in our room there was already a botlle of water and orange juice for welcome, little biscuits in our pillows and room smelled vanilla. Spacious rooms with all comforts like mini fridge, kitchenette, etc. The room had 3 comfortable balconies and great view. Room 301 ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clean, Cheap and Chic. Nice natural small garden. A great library in the reception. The location is ideal just 20 meters by the sea, with great views, small tavernas. I personally recommend it if you look genuine Cretan hospitality, good prices, beautiful views, and simplicity.
