We have stayed at Halepa Hotel now for 1 week and enjoyed it. It's a quiet site around 30 minutes close to the sea walk to Chania Centre. The hotel is really nice with a friendly owner and stab. If you do like to have peaseful nights, enjoy a walk and still stay close enough to the cisty this is the hotel for you.

What makes this hotel perfect is the people! I was surprised by how nice and welcoming the personnel was! The entrance of the hotel is also very nice with a few chairs and tables to enjoy your breakfast in the morning or a cold evening beer. The room was pleasant with an only minus for the bathroom which was clean but old - however the whole package is great and you will not pay attention to it!

Stayed one week at Hotel Halepa, nice rooms all with individual AC and large bathrooms with tub. Really clean rooms and hotel. The hotel does not have pool but is rather close to some beaches, althoug maybe not the best ones in Chania.

The hotel is a short walk from the old town. I can recommed this hotel!

We stayed at Halepa hotel for an academic conference at the Polytechnic up the road. While the hotel is not in the middle of old town, it has great views of the ocean and very close to beaches and an active local nightlife on the harbour front.
The staff was very gracious and helpful, and were able to answer all of our questions about the area.The daily breakfast was delicious!
The rooms in the new portion of the hotel are small, but very clean. There is a great rooftop terrace with great views of the old town and the ocean, and sunset.
This building was once the British consulate before WWII, and was the German headquarters during occupation of Crete during the war. For history buffs, it would be interesting to stay here. It is up the road from the Venizelos home and tomb also.
An excellent restaurant, Petra is up the road. A true local hangout!
