It was amazing, we had our own personal pool and hot tub right outside our room. Also beautiful property and wonderful location. The only thing was that one night I slept on the couch and the next morning I found out I had bites (that I found out were bed bugs)! I was forced to go onto a plane home with itches all over. Other than this, it was a great hotel.

What really matters is there. The food is very good and everywhere is very clean, but equally as important is the fact that the staff, many of whom have worked there for a long time which say a lot, are an extremely dedicated team who make you feel that they care. We spent two weeks at the Minos Palace and the general opinion was that it is the best hotel in the area.
It is definitely a local bus ride or taxi ride out of Agios Nikalaos unless you are a walker and hiring a car should be factored into your budget. It is a stunning location with wonderful views. Yes, the hotel is quite stark with few adornments and frills which is why I have only rated it a four star, but when I think of the wonderful chef Stelios, who helped me with my difficult diet every night and the excellent reception staff I would rate it much more.

I stayed here with my boyfriend in October 2011 on a half board basis and would definitely recommend it to others. We would love to back.

This was our seventh stay at the Minos Palace - it just gets better and better! Hotel is in a great location with lovely views. Rooms are stylish and comfortable - the balcony furniture ensures that you have a comfortable seating area outside to enjoy the view with a nice glass of wine! Food and service are excellent - spoilt for choice at breakfast and dinner. Had lunch at the taverna on our last day - lovely meal in a lovely setting. The staff here are a big plus - all very friendly and helpful - so nice to see familiar faces. Will we be going back next year? Yes we will!!!
